Crown Princess Mette-Marit's literary train tour in Germany

On October 14, 2019, Crown Princess Mette-Marit made a literary train tour in Germany. In collaboration with the Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, NORLA (Norwegian Literature Abroad) and Deutsche Bahn, an entire train filled with Norwegian literature and Norwegian authors started a trip through Germany for the purpose of promoting an interest in reading and in Norwegian literature.

The first stage of the tour was from Berlin to Cologne, and the main theme was Norwegian literature for children and young people. Schoolchildren of Berlin met with authors Maria Parr and Jostein Gaarder, who read from their books, and the children also participated in a drawing workshop under the leadership of illustrators Anna Fiske and Svein Nyhus.

The discussion at the meeting focused on nature and the climate in literature. Crown Princess Mette-Marit wore a new satin midi dress by TiMo.

  2. Can't tell much about the outfit because there is not really much to see. But am standing in awe because of the shiny clean ICE of the Deutsche Bahn. Never thougt that this really might exist. Christine

  4. The Crown Prince couple are having a very good visit to Germany. Both the Princess and her adoring Prince look great. MM is keeping it simple but stylish. In this set of photos I think the cream colored dress (with camel sweater), along with the navy coat, compliment her glowing complexion and fit her very well. The black (blue?) and tan print dress in the last two pictures is less successful, from what I can see, but still nice.

  5. Princess MM looks wonderful. She wears the TiMo dress well. Both she and the prince look completely and happliy engaged in the event. But forgot the royal ladies for now. Get this good looking prince a stylist, who can properly fit his clothes. Trousers too short; jacket too tight.

    1. In French, I would say: "Il est mal attife" (should be an accent on the last 'e'on attife. . His jacket is definitely too tight.
