Crown Prince Haakon and Crown Princess Mette-Marit are visiting Germany on October 11-16. Norway has been selected as the Guest of Honour for 2019 at the Frankfurt Book Fair, the world’s most important trade fair for books. This project is the largest cultural promotion effort Norway has ever carried out abroad. On the occasion of that fair, on October 11, 2019, Crown Princess Mette-Marit opened the exhibition "Edvard Munch gesehen von Karl Ove Knausgård" (Edvard Munch – seen by Karl Ove Knausgård). The Crown Princess wore a new red floral print midi dress by H&M.

The exhibition offers viewers insight into two of Norway’s most famous artists by presenting Edvard Munch’s works as seen through the eyes of writer Karl Ove Knausgård. The exhibition is displayed at K20 – Kunstsammlung Nordrhein-Westfalen, and was developed in collaboration with the Munch Museum in Oslo. Crown Prince Haakon were also present at the opening ceremony.

    Schön, dass die beiden zusammen nach Deutschland gekommen sind. Ihren Mann hat Mette-Marit sicherlich zur Unterstützung mitgenommen, falls sie krankheitsbedingt ausfällt. Sie sieht zwar auf der einen Seite frisch und erholt aus, aber auf der anderen doch irgendwie müde und unsicher.
    Hoffentlich hält sie die paar Tage durch.
    Das Kleid haut mich nicht vom Hocker. Farbe und Muster gefallen mir nicht wirklich.
    Ich freue mich dennoch auf die nächsten Tage mit „H&M“ in Deutschland.

    A very nice look for CPss Mette Marit. What a lovely color. Nice that she could make the trip to Germany. She looks very healthy too. Nice to see.

    So happy to see CP Mette Marit. She looks lovely and the dress is fine. I particularly like the length of it on her and the bodice is nice too. Not crazy about the way those puffs at the top of the sleeves look in some photos, but that's a minor quibble. Very nice.

    Sehr schön das Kleid und auch dass MM so gesund ist, dass sie sich die Reise nach Deutschland zutraut. Schöne Geste, dass Haakon sie begleitet. Ich mag die beiden sehr, immer leise und nicht in den Vordergrund drängend... Ein tolles Kronprinzenpaar und ich drücke beiden die Daumen, dass die Gesund von Mette Marit noch lange mitspielt, so dass sie die Aufgaben wahrnehmen kann, die ihr am Herzen liegen.

    I'm often on the edge with Mette-Marit's fashion choices. But this time, she looks lovely! This absolutely works for her: The rich colour, the cut, well-fitted... it's great! Fantastic to see this, I really enjoyed seeing these pictures!
