Prince Carl Philip and Princess Sofia shared a new photo of themselves on their Instagram page as they have launched a new hashtag called #nejtillnäthat. The Prince and the Princess also shared a message: Hate is everywhere. In every society, in every profession, in every gender identity and in every age. Our objective is to have a common symbol which shows that we take a distance from the hate. Use #nejtillnäthat. |
Bernadotte ab, man munkelt ja so.... ;-) Frieda
DeleteCarl Philip is so handsome. Sofia looks the best in rich jewel tones.
ReplyDeleteVery pretty new photo and good endeavor from the prince couple.
Very dissapointed that kungahuset.se no longer seem to publish photos and news about prince and princess couple! I'm confused why.

Such a lovely couple. Love that color on her.
ReplyDeleteAgree!!!
DeleteEine starke Frau in einer starken Haltung und in einer starken Bluse!
ReplyDeletefür mein Empfinden ein bisschen zu bossy. Find ich als Pose weder von Mann oder Frau bei einem Paarfoto gut. Frieda
DeleteThis is a very nice picture!
ReplyDeleteStunning couple!!!
ReplyDeleteThey are a gorgeous couple!! Love that color on Princess Sofia and Prince Carl Philip looks fabulous. As always. (Mickey)

ReplyDeleteCarl is quite handsome. I think he resembles King Felipe
ReplyDeleteI'm not an expert, but is that possible?
DeleteThe colours are lovely, but a do not like those loose strands of hair covering the earrings.

ReplyDeleteHow pathetic and without any definition. Such statements are childish and inappropriate. They aren‘t pop stars, aren‘t they?
ReplyDeleteWhat is wrong ?
DeleteSo if they were pop stars we should care more? Doesn't matter who they are at least they take a stance. The statements are not inappropriate, they show support against hate and that is never childish or inappropriate. More royals should be more vocal. They have the platform. - Capt Marvel
DeleteOnline bullying and hate is a thing. Definitely. Since they both were bullied, it seems appropriate that they would work on and support this cause. Makes perfect sense to me. They have produced a pamphlet and gone on radio and print to try to combat this. I think mainly in reference to children but also generally. There is a definite need for it. Maxine
DeleteObviously you don't follow them regularly. This is one of their main platforms I do believe.
Deletemonty... you are the proof why their engagement is important :-(
ReplyDelete#bekind
Sorry, but that‘s no engagement against hate. It‘s only one inflationary hashtag more.
DeleteBy the way, criticism is not hate. That‘s what I meant by a lack of definition. These people live in a bubble and want to feel important. Social work looks different and is not a charity!! Charity is above all for the benefactor and such a hashtag too.
Monty, well said!
DeleteTotally agree with you Monty.

monty, I have to say: very good comment!
Deletemonty is absolute proof that hate is everywhere. Especially on the Internet. Some people just have nothing nice to say. And then they say it over and over and over. And at least this couple are trying to do something rather than spread hate. They have chosen to support this cause because of the online hate and bullying directed at them over the course of their time together as well as before they got married. I believe Carl Philip said he was relentlessly bullied as a result of his dyslexia. So your comments seem kind of petty, honestly. Bless your heart. Diana
DeleteYes. Please think before you post. And have all your information together. This is dealing with one of the main causes under their foundation. Internet bullying and hate directed at everyone of course, but especially they are trying to target children that will be online and read/experience this. Maria
DeleteBeautiful color dress. This is one lovely couple.
ReplyDeleteCan they be more ridiculous?....Ridiculously gorgeous?? - Capt. Marvel
ReplyDeleteIs Carl-Philips hairline still his original one? Looks somehow strange. Anyways. Can't say much about the fashion because there is not much to see. It's a blouse and a suite jacket with tie and shirt. Nothing to get mad about. Christine
ReplyDeleteThey are a lovely couple with 2 beautiful smiling little boys. Maybe the King doesn't want them to overshadow Victoria?
ReplyDeleteThere might be something to that. And I really don't think they are trying to do that. I think sometimes it just happens. But they are a wonderful couple. And they are really going after online bullying. Good for them. It seems to be everywhere these days. Jean
DeleteAmerican Gothic.
ReplyDeleteYou put it in a nutshell :)
DeleteWhat does American Gothic mean exactly in reference to this? I am confused?
Deletehttps://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/American_Gothic
Delete"Hate is everywhere"...? What do they want to tell the world?
ReplyDeleteWhy not "love is everywhere "? Or "every day is a new day" or "every rose has its thorn" or whatever?? What kind of "message" is that?
I've been wondering about the message too, Coralie. I tried to translate the original Swedish to English, like it's written above, but couldn't find a better clue. I'd have chosen a better statement, but it's their choice and if it works, it's fine.
DeleteFashion wise: I love the rich, deep red colour of Sofia's top. It's great on her.
And I don't want to sound picky, but I do not like the crossed arms, especially not on a official photograph that is shared with the whole world. It looks a bit offensive or defensive. But that's my opinion ;-)
Rosalyn, yes, it is all a bit strange - the statement, the photo with the crossed arms (you are not the only one who dislikes this). But at least we have a beautiful blouse...better than nothing, isn't it!
DeleteThey want to start a protest against haters on the Internet. That's why they look so firm, the message is that hate o the Internet can never be accepted.
DeleteWell if love was everywhere, they wouldn't have anything to be fighting against. You know?
DeleteTotally agree. The crossed arms represent the tough stance they are taking. And I love it. Internet hate is just ugly, cruel, and pointless. And they should know. They get enough of it. —Tina
DeleteLovely photo of the couple. Victoria looks lovely in the fall colours.
ReplyDeleteWhy the negativity? Nanni @ 3:39 Did Sofia tell you that she is upset about the little Princes, are no more HRH.? and others who agree with some of the statements. I think this is a little sad. OMO. Maybe later in life this will make it easier on them.
ReplyDeleteMmmh, interesting aspect, but she keeps her title and Carl Philipp as well. And the little princes certainly have enough privileges and a duchy title. Evidently there were important reasons and they were discussed with the family.
DeleteNevertheless - the children of Princess Anne get along well with a similar regulation. Finally no reason to get upset.
Agree!! I totally think Carl Philip and Sofia were on board with the royal changes. This frees their children up to do whatever they want in life. They can earn their own salaries without restrictions like their father and mother and study where they want. I would be so excited for them. They are still in the line of succession. Carl Philip and Sofia stay the same, also. As they have their separate and joint patronages and their foundation. It all sounds good to me.
