On September 30, 2019, King Philippe and Queen Mathilde of Belgium held a lunch at Laeken Castle for Poland's President Andrzej Sebastian Duda and his wife Agata Kornhauser-Duda. Poland's President and the first lady visited Belgium to attend the ceremonies celebrating the 75th anniversary of the liberation of Flanders by the 1st Polish Armoured Division. Queen Mathilde wore a red lace dress by Natan. |
The first lady looks impeccable, the white suit is classic and chic, her short hair and soft makeup are perfect and modern.
ReplyDeleteThe First Lady Agata worked as a German teacher. She is very fashionable.
DeleteTheir daughter Kinga is also very beautiful lady.
Mathilde's dress is flattering as far as the silhouette, the fabric is a little busy, but it could've look much better if it was 2 centimeters longer. Now, Ms. Agatha Kornhauser-duda, wow, just wow!! She is the epitome of elegance and sofistication, perfect tailoring, and impecable hair and accessories, she looks to be almost as tall as the queen, and by wearing the right length, she achieves a look of perfect balance. I wonder if her dress is a Chanel? Anyway this is a perfect day look .
ReplyDeleteTotally agree...
Deletenice dress, fitting quite well for Mathilde, lovely outfit for the President's wife.
ReplyDeleteAgree. Their dress is reminiscent of the Polish flag.
DeleteHave never really noticed mrs Duda before but she is very elegant.
ReplyDeleteAgain, the 2” too short hemline ruins the overall look of the dress on the Queen. The Presidents wife looks perfect!
ReplyDeleteI like Mathilde very much but she really should stop with those too short skirts, they just don't suit her. The Polish first lady is just wow!
ReplyDeleteMs. Agata Kornhauser is stunning: perfect white tailleur, hair and make-up. The Natan dress does nothing for queen Mathilde.
ReplyDeleteI am a bit late, but I fully agree with Sakurahime. I noticed several times, that the Polish First Lady looks always impeccable, she loves minimalistic design, the dresses are mostly perfectly tailored.
DeleteThe Queen, although a beautiful looking woman, needs a better advisor fashionwise.
Polish first lady looks good but super classic. When/where does classic style become boring?
DeleteHier kann man sehr schön erkennen, was ein guter Sitz ausmacht. In diesem Fall liegen modische Welten zwischen gerade noch OK und absoluter Perfektion.
ReplyDeletedon't like the hair style of the first lady
ReplyDeleteI don't neither!! oldfashioned. Here one can see how difficult it is to strike the right balance, ie between Qn Maxima and first Lady.
DeleteLa robe de Mathilde est belle ; superbe allure dans ce tailleur de la femme du président qui a les manches de la chemise qui dépassent… Quel contraste avec Philippe qui est plus classe !!!
ReplyDeleteI agree. The president needs to allow his wife to choose his outfits... :). Philippe looks impeccable.
DeleteAs to the ladies, I don’t actually mind the length of the queen’s dress. She can pull it off (not always the case with certain royals). The president’s wife is very elegant indeed, and whilst her hair looks fine, personally I don’t like the styling (feels too stiff for my liking, too much hairspray required). Overall an impressive showing on her part.

Agree that Q. Mathilde’s dress is too short. Sadly this is a recurring issue with her clothing. A tall woman looks like she’s grown out of her clothes if they are too short! It’s a gorgeous colour on her though. The President’s wife looks stunning here. I think she has changed her hairstyle, and although it is quite severe it suits her beautifully. (V.M)
ReplyDeleteLadies chose outfits in colour of polish flag. Queen Mathilde is a Polish in a half way because her mother came from polish family.
ReplyDeleteMrs Duda looked absolutely stylish and polished :)
I do not agree that Mathilde's look is spoiled by the hemline! She is tall and has very good legs. The Polish first lady looks good, but very conservative.
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely.
DeleteBoth ladies look elegant, but I must say The First lady of Poland this white suit is perfect in style fit and length.
ReplyDeleteAgree to all the above comments. I much prefer Mrs. Duda's outfit to the queen's dress however.
ReplyDeleteNathan to be returned immediatly to the desert Island without reprieve. That dress does NOT fit Mathilde properlyit is too tight as usual sround the midrif and is riding up and that applies to the lower half of the sleeves as well and I agree it is two centimetres too short. With a busy stiff fabric like that you want to skim the curves not try to stick to them. Mrs Dada looks by contrast so simple and elegant.
ReplyDeleteOnce again, Mathilde's outfit is one or two sizes too small; the dress is bunching up in some areas (elbows and below the bust) which are classic signs of incorrect sizing. And if further proof is required, it's too short as almost everyone has noticed.
ReplyDeleteThe Polish First Lady however.... ice cool, regal elegance. Va Va Va Voom!

Oh, Mathilde. Gorgeous colour of dress but still too short, as so many others have said. I'm not certain the fit is perfect either as can be seen in the final photo where it is wrinkling round the middle, probably because of the stiff fabric as Nalerina has pointed out. I'm not such a fan as some of Mme Duda's outfit=--it's certainly elegant and the jacket is lovely but overall somewhat severe.
ReplyDeleteMathilde's outfit is a rare miss for me. The Polish first Lady however, wow she looks incredible. her suit is so beautiful, it fits her well and the skirt is the perfect length. The black piping is subtle and takes away any blandness of the colour white of the suit. She looks elegant and all class. Her accessories are perfect, love the small carry bag and her shoes are just right. Her hairstyle somewhat harsh, she wears it well and can get away with it so to speak.
