On September 14, 2019, Princess Beatrix attended the national campaign day of the 'Zwaluwen Jeugd Actie' at SV Football Club in 't Harde. The Zwaluwen Youth Action is an initiative to help young athletes to raise money for their peers with muscular diseases. More than 500,000 youth soccer players have raised money in the past year by participating in the Zwaluwen Youth Cup tournament of the KNVB. The proceeds go to the Princess Beatrix Muscle Fund. The Princess Beatrix Muscle Fund uses the proceeds to research muscle diseases in children in particular. |
She is elegant and lovely.
ReplyDeleteThe former Queen looks wonderful!
ReplyDeleteGet rid of the bows and the outfit would have been more stunning.
ReplyDeleteKeep the bows because they make the outfit unique and show personality instead of slippery mainstream. Christine
DeleteI tried to like the bows, but for me they are a real barrier to elegance here.
DeleteBeatrix always gives careful attention to her hair and makeup, and I admire her for getting out among the people and bringing smiles to their faces even though she is retired.
For me, bows (and a couple of other things more in fashion) are age independent. Maybe we should change our associations about accessoires like this? We all did it for colours and hair (nobody thinks any more that only young women/girls should wear pink or a ponytail). Old women have to refrain from so many things, for example baring too much skin. So for God's sake, let them wear things that do not make them younger but do make them nicer to look at. I like this dress, shoulder, and arms and length of the jacket/blouse very typical and flattering for Beatrix. And the bow, especially the one in the front, is a real eyecatcher.

Ravissante mais sans ces nœuds, l'ensemble serait très chic !!!
ReplyDeleteD'accord :-)
DeleteNice cut to the outfit, is figure flattering, colors are nice, however, I would get rid of the bows, they make the outfit rather odd looking. Anne
ReplyDeleteAlways classy.

ReplyDeleteHow refreshing to see a regal lady who does not fiddle around with her face, as opposed to other royals. Her perfect hair, her lovely smile, her original clothes, her sense of duty and her compassion are all powerful messages.
