Prince Carl Philip and Princess Sofia visited Villa San Michele in Anacapri. During the museum visit, The Prince and Princess were accompanied by curator Kristina Kappelin. Swedish physician, Axel Munthe came to Capri in 1885. He built his villa on the ruins of an ancient chapel dedicated to San Michele, following a series of sketches made on a wall. Villa San Michele in Anacapri was the dream home of Axel Munthe. Today, Villa San Michele is a museum and a Swedish cultural institute. |
I like this dress on Princess Sofia. The small print is very nice, and the fabric seems to softly drape her curves. Her white earrings and bag are nice complements to the dress. Prince Carl Philip is, as always, quite handsome, and his shirt matches Sofia's dress. In the first photo, I see a striking resemblance to his father. The second photo is very romantic.
ReplyDeleteI love the second photo, it is like a painting!
DeleteIndeed.

Agree -- this shade of blue really suits Sofia.
DeleteBeautiful colour for her. These soft, drapey dresses are easy vacation style. (V.M.)
ReplyDeleteThey are a very handsome couple. Love her dress, she looks beautiful.
ReplyDeletePretty color but I do not care for this mu mu style dress. While this style may be comfortable and cool it is large and not figure flattering.
ReplyDeleteBoth in blue, so stunning. He's so gorgeous! - Capt. Marvel
ReplyDeletePhotoshop - not its best, but lovely impression of the couple.
ReplyDeleteLove this dress. The colour is so nice. She looks terrific
ReplyDeleteI like the top of this dress but agree with Anon 2:51 that the style is not flattering---it's too long and voluminous. Sofia looks lovely anyway
ReplyDeleteLovely dress. - Siri
ReplyDeleteAxel Munthe wrote about his dreams of finding ancient ruins of a villa on Capri : The Book on Life and Death; he went to Capri and in his dreams he saw exact place where to find the ruins in the sea. Eventually all important parts: marble statues, columns, architectural details, mosaics, marble door sills, all was brought up from the sea and assembled into his "dream" home. It is a fascinating story of a man who came to help the poorest of poor during an epidemic and was rewarded in the most amazing way. Oh, the dress ...it is lovely. Axel Munthe has been one of the most beloved 20th century authors in Europe.
ReplyDeleteShe looks stunning in blue. One of her best colors for sure. And the location is just breathtaking. They are there for a wedding. Gorgeous place to have one.
