On September 6, 2019, Prince Albert II and Princess Charlene, their twins Crown Prince Jacques and Princess Gabriella of Monaco attended the annual end-of-Summer Picnic (Pique-Nique) events, held at the Princess Antoinette Park (Le Parc Princess Antoinette) in Monaco. The event is organised by the City Council of Monaco. Each year, the traditional picnic marks the end of the summer season. |
Ma princesse préférée est ravissante.
ReplyDeleteJ aime sa tenue.Idem pour la coiffure.
Les enfants sont craquants.
La robe de Gabriella:J adooore.
I would not have the "courage" to wear this special outfit in the Public. Although the fabric looks soft and lovely. Maybe her's and the dress of the little Princess are inspirations from South Africa, her home-country?
ReplyDeleteThe kids are really growing fast, wow!
This outfit, with very nice colours, is quite event-appropriate and a very good choice. I don't think we should comment according to our criteria for ourselves, but look at it from the wider and more neutral perspective. Prncs Charlene is quite good in chosing the right appearance.
DeletePrincess Gabriella's dress is made from a traditional South African print called Shweshwe. It is usually a stiff cotton fabric that suits the form of structured traditional dresses well. I think it is a lovely use of that fabric for a little girl!
DeleteBeautiful outfit Charlene is wearing. Great fabric and colors and Charlene wears it well. I also love the softer hair style which minimizes the usual flat look which emphasizes her small head vs her broad shoulders. Charlene looks especially lovely and sweet. Gorgeous children!
ReplyDeleteLove seeing Charlene in color but she is drowning in fabric.
ReplyDeleteE.B.B
Jolie, jolie Gabriella.
ReplyDeleteThis is a beautiful hairstyle for Charlene. It softens her, hopefully she sticks to it. The colours of her outfit also suits her very well, maybe a little bit too much fabric, but since the colours are so nice it gets a pass.
ReplyDeleteAgree about her hair. It looks much better this way
DeleteI wish the open jacket/cardigan (what is that garment called in fashion parlance?) were shorter, and that the pants were a pink pencil skirt. (Although it's hard to tell whether that is actually a jumpsuit under the jacket/cardigan). Of course, that would make it a completely different outfit, except for the colors which are quite pretty.
ReplyDeleteLove the little girls in their traditional Monegasque costume. (Do you get the feeling that Princess Gabrielle kind of wishes she could be part of that adorable chorus line? :-)
Yes, little Gabrielle must wish so!
DeleteAnd boys all over the world always pampers with their mom !
The out fit has interesting colors, however it appears way to large for her, and is dragging on the ground, perhaps it was meant to be worn with heels, not flat everyday type sandals. Something looks off about the entire outfit, not sure why. The children are beautiful.
ReplyDeleteJacques knows what's the time.

ReplyDeletewhen Charlene wears color its a big deal! Every thing else; shape, length of outfit does not matter!
ReplyDeleteLove her hair, but I would perhaps were those clothes on a beach Party. Twins are cute
Charlene looks wonderful , I like her hair style very much. The kids are so adorable and I always like the way they dress them. Gabriela is pretty in her African prints dress.
ReplyDeletePardon:Jolie famille.
ReplyDeleteThe facial expressions and body stances are more interesting than the clothes here. Especially the one with Albert looking at Charlene. I do like her outfit and her hair.
ReplyDeleteJacques qui se barricade derrière ses bras ,sans un sourire.
DeleteTrès jolies couleurs pour Charlène ; bien mignonne Gabriella dans cette petite robe imprimée colorée !!!
ReplyDeleteGabriella is a confident little girl, Jacques is a bit shy, Charlene is good mom, the love and encouragement in her looks at the little boy says it all.
ReplyDeleteOh yes. Look at the 7th, 8th and 12 picture and see how the mother Charlene takes the hand of her little boy Gabriel when they arrive at the pic-nic
DeleteI like the fabric and flow of what Charlene is wearing but the trousers are a bit too long.
ReplyDeleteHier hat die Fürstin völlig daneben gegriffen - eher ein Strandkleid
ReplyDeleteDoch wohl eher ein Kleid fuer die Altkleidersammlung. Und leider greift sie sehr oft daneben. Genau genommen: meistens.
DeleteIt IS lovely to see Charlene in bright colours like this but I disagree with Anon 8:42 that everything else is then ignored. There is just too much fabric as Mrs M said —- the jacket style top is too long and too ‘drapey’ And the trousers are very long and wide as well. It is still a nice outfit and I wouldn’t categorise it as beachwear. Her hair looks great styled like this. Good to see the family out together. The children are beautifully dressed as usual. Gabriella is a really lovely little girl already
ReplyDeleteNice to see the whole family again. The children are growing up fast and look lovely. Charlene's outfit, the color is nice. The look is more that of a PJ.
ReplyDeleteProbably Albert is looking at Charlene thinking: ‘ stop spoiling that boy’ he is always on mommy’s lap getting curdles 😂
ReplyDeleteMo
My mom (84) and some of her friends are wearing dresses and suits like this as 'homeware'. But for an official event, with every one else dressed up??Elegant is in my opinion something else.
ReplyDeleteTenue de camouflage pour personnes âgées ! HiHi !
DeleteIt’s nice to see Charlene in colour but the outfit is overwhelming even on her tall frame. I’m getting a ‘70’s pool party/ hostess dress vibe. I think she can do better. ( V.M.)
ReplyDeleteAgree.
DeleteCharlene carries off the outfit with style. Jacques is certainly a "mommy's boy". Gabriella is just too cute for words. Nice family photos.
ReplyDeleteWhat is she wearing? What was she thinking? I cannot fathom an answer to any answer to either of these questions.
