On September 11, 2019, Danish Crown Princess Mary visited Kvindehjemmet in Jagtvej together with members of Mary Foundation. This visit was about the backpacks that Mary Foundation provides to all children moving to shelters with their mothers. Kvindehjemmet is Denmark’s largest women’s shelter, with room for 36 women and approximately 30 children. The Mary Foundation hands out a backpack with practical necessities and toys to every child who arrives at a crisis centre with their mother. This happens in close collaboration with Ole Kirk's Foundation and LOKK (National Organisation of Women’s Shelters in Denmark). |

DeleteLovely blouse and colour……
DeleteI think Mary needs a haircut after the Summerholiday, indeed!

How does Mary manage to look terrific just about all the time?
ReplyDeleteI know, I wish I had that problem!
DeleteBe real ! ..... she manages because she has a whole crew devoted to her looks....not to mention that she is free of all the stress an average working mum faces.... She is a moderately nice looking
Deletewoman who has been groomed and beautified to the nines.

You're right, Cynthia!
Delete@LilyT. I am real: you must be strikingly beautiful or you are simply jealous? All the royal ladies we follow on this blog have a team of pros around them. But the result is not always the same. For example Charlene this week. But Mary (and Letizia IMO) is nearly always spot on. Isn't that great, for a moderately nice looking working mum. Really...
Delete@Hedy: I am indeed strikingly beautiful😃, but besides that, I do find it amazing that some of these ladies have big misses, like Maxima for example, considering the money, means, people, working just to make them look good.... I like Letizia the best lookwise, her style looks the most effortless. But the question “how on earth manage these ladies to look nice” is lost on me.

@LilyT: Oh well: the staff is mainly there to organize. The look is not the most important thing. So, then you have Letizia, a pro, who knows exaxtly what is good for her and the importance of image (she was a journalist); same with Mary (who was in marketing). Maxima was a banker, Charlene a swimmer and Mathilde a physio - in this professions a super duper look is not that important. Cynthias question is a very good one, because some of the ladies look nicer than the others. It is mean as a compliment.

DeleteWell Maxima has all the same access and she often looks like a hot mess - espcially her hair.
This is my favorite blouse of all time! The style and the color look so good on Mary!
ReplyDeleteLove the blouse and her jewels. From what I can see, the skirt is nice.
ReplyDeleteThis pretty blue blouse seems to be a favorite of Mary's, and rightly so. The style and color suit her very well. /Julie/
ReplyDeleteMy favorite royal. Stunningly beautiful as always! - Capt. Marvel
ReplyDeleteLovely blouse and great earrings. The colour is really flattering. She looks as lovely as ever.
ReplyDeleteLove the blouse, but its pretty details are competing with the pleats in the skirt, which dilutes its impact. Would like to see it paired with a plain pencil skirt. Wrt separates, I'm pretty sure that fancy top / plain skirt and fancy skirt / plain top works best.
ReplyDeleteI am on the fence about this blouse. The collar treatment is unique and Mary wears it well. However, the sleeves are just out of place with the rest of the blouse which has flowing lines. In the photo, the sleeves look better, but on a person, they look cut off, square, clunky, in an odd way.
ReplyDeleteVery nice and timeless blouse from VB.Mary looks good.
ReplyDeleteJe lui envie les superbes boucles d'oreilles avec la bague de la main droite assortie.. !!!
ReplyDeleteI love the blouse
ReplyDeleteGreat colour on Mary. Beautifully cut blouse.
