As an addition to the previous post: Wedding ceremony photos of Louis Ducruet and Marie Chevallier were released on the social media accounts of Palais Princier de Monaco. On Friday, the Mayor of Monaco conducted the private civil wedding ceremony. Members of the family attended that ceremony. After the ceremony, a reception was held in the gardens of the Prince’s Palace of Monaco. The bride wore a silk crepe jumpsuit designed by Rosa Clará, which was adorned with embroidered lace at the waist. Princess Charlene was present at the civil wedding ceremony. |
On Saturday, a religious wedding ceremony was held at the Monaco Cathedral and over 200 guests attended the ceremony. Marie Chevallier stepped out of the car wearing a silk and Chantilly lace wedding dress, a custom collaboration between Atelier Boisanger and Pauline, her sister-in-law to-be. The dress took over 300 hours of hand embroidery to create together with its five meter train. At the end of the ceremony, the couple laid flowers at the tombs of Princess Grace and Prince Rainier. |
Afterwards, a reception was held at Monte Carlo Bay Hotel. The reception was a celebration among the families of Ducruet and Chevallier. Prince Albert II, Princess Caroline, and Charlotte Casiraghi were present at the reception. |
So many things could be said. Stephanie and Caroline look fantastic in the last photo! Interesting how in that photo, the two oldest women look the best!
ReplyDeleteGenau : Caroline und Stephanie sehen echt toll aus !!
DeleteAgree. The real princesses are Caroline & Stephanie only, I think.
DeleteI totally agree with Cynthia. A wide range of nice wedding pictures... And last but not least the groom's Mom, Princess Stephanie, in a'n outstanding evening dress. Bravo! Right hair, make-up and clothes - perfect!
DeleteHer "Theia-Cocktail dress" would look much more sophisticated if she had worn it with a longer hemline and different shoes like shown on the Companie's Model-picture. Pity about that.
Lovely pictures. The bride looks beautiful. As usual, Caroline and Beatrice look terrifically elegant and Tatiana nails look the relaxed luxury look. Princess Stephanie and her daughters look nice all through and the groom is very handsome. Charlene looks beautiful at the civil ceremony.
ReplyDeleteAll the ladies look fantastic!
ReplyDeleteAnd I especially like how Camille carries herself. She seems calm, and put together and to have a stronger sense of self than Stephanie when she was her age. And the same goes for Pauline as well.
Stephanie overall has done a great job with her children.. So my kudos to her.
And BIG congrats to the couple, they look really comfortable together :)

Finally pictures!

DeleteYep yay!
When the grooms mother is standing closer to the groom as the bride on their wedding pics then there might be some problems coming up in the future.
ReplyDeleteExactly!
DeleteThat's exactly what happened at Felipe and Letizias wedding
DeleteI can´t believe my eyes and she is doing that in public. That makes you look deeply. Probably I get bashed but to me it looks emotional abusive. Mothers are sakrosankt, mostly.
Delete@ Anonymous 11:51 PM, you are right, I almost forgot about this, but I remember the photo then of Sofia holding Felipes hand on the wedding photo gave me the chills. It is no. 10 in the slide show https://people.com/royals/queen-letizia-king-felipe-spain-royal-wedding-best-photos-15th-anniversary/?slide=7075872#7075872
DeleteSame chills I get from Stéphanie clinging to her son, and yes to me too it seems highly emotional abusive.
Well, I don't think there is any emotional abuse going on. Marie has now been part of the family for about 7 years now so I think she knows perfectly well what she is getting with Stephanie.
DeleteI also don't see any hanging on to Louis for dear life, I see an emotional mum marrying her oldest child and only son. I think Louis is being a gentleman - Stephanie is after all, the only one in the wedding party without a partner (and she has to stand next to the awful Daniel, however civilised and friendly they might be). Yes, so it would have been nice if he could have linked arms with his wife as well...
She's emotional and sensitive but I think we should be careful about playing pop psychology from a couple of pictures.
Franny: Something I don't know about "awful" Daniel Ducruet, father of the groom??
DeleteI don't know what you know about him Rainha Leonor. Personally, I think a man who cheats on his wife, publically humiliating her, then uses his ensuing notoriety to appear in reality TV shows like he thinks he's somebody interesting writes the most self-serving whining book exposing all kinds of unnecessary private details about his life with aforementioned wife is "awful". He's proven to be a good father - and the fact that they have managed to be friendly co-parents says much about Stephanie's forgiving nature - but I think he is self-serving jerk. He destroyed her world and she has never been the same since.
DeleteSome random thoughts...Alexandra looks wonderful in all the pics, and is still young enough to be able to wear red lipstick without it doing awful things to her face (i.e., very young). Pauline is beautifully dressed and styled in the pic taken on the terrace. Beatrice’s hat, in the same pic, is a huge (clearly in more than one sense of the word) disappointment; she is supposed to be helping to dial down the Grimaldi sartorial goofiness factor, not adding to it! Stephanie’s yellow jumpsuit is too bright and too shiny, and her short puff-sleeve pastel dress for the religious wedding looks wrong at her age and stage.
ReplyDeleteAnd for heaven’s sake, Charlene, try to smile as though you mean it.
Signed,
Grumpy :-)

DeleteTotally agree with you, Jane Chantal. When was the last time, we saw her smile, or even in stitches?
agree Charlene really makes it so obvious how unhappy she is,
DeleteAgree about Alexandra, she gets bettter and better.
DeleteShe was smiling---and looking particularly lovely last week at the Red Cross Gala wearing that wonderful green dress. Stephanie doesn't smile all that often either and I have very rarely seen Tatiana Casiraghi beaming with joy.
DeleteThere is a good reason for everythibg. Charlene is a women wirh character !
DeleteIf she is sad, there is something.
Bonjour à toutes/tous Qui pourrait dire quelle est la dame entre Pauline et Caroline dans une toilette de couleur moutarde ? Par avance, merci !!!
ReplyDeleteLe témoin de Marie, je crois
DeleteCharlotte ?
DeleteC'est Charlotte Casiraghi
DeleteC'est Charlotte Casiraghi.
DeleteWhat on earth is she wearing? It's like the dress of a Victorian lady. She easily looks like the oldest woman in the group. Princess Caroline could be her daughter!!
DeleteAnnieM, I was surprised by Charlotte's dress too; she's quite unpredictable in her choices, but I must admit this one really was something I'd never have expected to see on her. In white or ivory, with an elaborate veil and bouquet, it might have made a charming Victorian or Edwardian wedding dress.
DeleteThat's Charlotte Casiraghi.
ReplyDeleteC'est Charlotte ! Difficilement reconnaissable !
ReplyDelete02082019 Bonsoir, Je pense que vous avez raison. Je ne l'avais point reconnue de suite car je la vois très maquillée.. Bien belle quand même !!!
DeleteOh WoW! All the Grimaldi ladies looking gorgeous especially the evening dresses 💕. I would have loved to see Beatrice's evening dress she is always has the best dress
ReplyDeleteAgree Beatrice has great style and is a beautiful women.
DeleteThe bride looked beautiful, Her choice of outfits would have suited a slimmer girl.
ReplyDeletei wonder why she gained weight, most brides lose weight before their wedding, good for her
C'est Charlotte Casiraghi Rassam
ReplyDeleteFor last picture
ReplyDelete1 Stephanie
2 Tatiana
3 Pauline color and very dynamic style
Entre Pauline et Caroline c'est Charlotte mais c'est vrai qu'ici elle est presque méconnaisable !
ReplyDeleteThe carpet in the Monte Carlo Bay Hotel gives me the creeps...
ReplyDeleteAngieF
Me too! I can't look at it. It looks filthy and wet. Has it rained that day? The dress must have got dirty. Quel dommage! And what is this with the bamboo bar stools in the picture? What a terrible background for a wedding picture.
DeleteIt looks like it was a nice family wedding and they had fun.
ReplyDeleteClothing wise - the bride's choices were fairly conventional but she looked happy and glowing. I liked the Rosa Clara jumpsuit for the civil ceremony the best.
Stephanie looked a bit like Big Bird in her bright yellow number but I like that she is supporting Pauline's collection and the alterations are a big improvement. I like her dress by Theia and while i prefer the original i think this shortened version is more Stephanie who has great legs.
Caroline looks good in the Giambattista Valli dress but i don't like, and never have liked that daisy shift dress with the random black material on it.
I thought Charlotte looked quite autumnal and wintry in her two day dresses. Pauline looks good - love the little fantasy hat for the church service. Alexandra's pink dress is pretty, I liked it last time she wore it but I like that she has had an updo for this occasion.
Nice to Charlene - the dress is lovely and I like her hair like this.
All the ladies look great in the group picture for the evening reception. I love Charlotte's dress and Pauline's scarlet outfit in particular.
Great gowns. I must say I like Tatiana's the best than Pss Stephanies. But Tatiana is a surprise most of the time she wear's dresses way too loose.I feel Pss Stephanie looks a bit sad, she wants to hold on to her son, she is not loosing her son she'll gain a daughter. Good Luck to the young couple.
ReplyDeleteMother of the bride did not change outfits from the civil ceremony to the church service. She is dressed like its a day at the office!! Maybe she was not informed
ReplyDeleteYes she did - she wore the beige trouser suit to the civil ceremony and then was wearing a long red dress at the religious service.
DeleteCan you imagine the comments about bad taste in dressing for a wedding, if this were the UK, Sweden, or any other country. Photo 5 of stephanie walking down the aisle is just too much, so I won't say anything else. Not grumpy, just my opinion.
ReplyDeleteThe bride's outfits are great--my favourite is the jumpsuit for the civil ceremony (I can't believe I've described a jumpsuit as my favourite outfit!), and I think her wedding dress is perfect for her. I'm less keen on the evening outfit but I guess it's appropriate for the occasion. Really like Princess Stephanie's mother-of-the-groom dress but it would have been so much better in the longer more elegant form. I think if Princess Caroline's was 6 inches shorter, it might also be a winner. However, the outstanding dress for me, again to my surprise, is the evening dress worn by Tatiana Casiraghi.
ReplyDeleteAgain I do admit that I don't understand anything of fashion so I am free to say that in the "Ladies-photo" with Tatiana in grey, Pauline in oh-so-orange and Charlotte in gosh-green they look as if they pose for a new TV-Soap Opera called "The most weird wedding-guests ever" or something like that.
ReplyDeleteLol. I have to agree with you about the (imo) garish chartreuse hue worn by Charlotte, and (imo) Pauline's retro-costumey outfit isn't helped by its screamingly bright color. Tatiana's dress would be refreshingly normal and quite nice on her if it weren't for the weird feather fringe. Feathers are (imo) also the unfortunate downfall of Camille's look, which -- because of the enormous volume of the feathers -- is perilously top-heavy. Caroline's dress looks strangely fish-like -- the scales and the tail are there, anyhow :-D (how can this be Chanel? omg...) Stephanie and Alexandra come out the winners in this lineup, afaic.
