I love tradition on parade like this. Kate looks lovely. This is one of my favorite hats and her chignon is done well today. I hope Charles is well. He looks too florid and puffy for my liking.

ReplyDeleteIt's absolutely not! It was warmer in Glasgow today than Barcelona! And temp in the north east around Balmoral was in the low twenties as is forecast for alter in the week. Think the Duchess of Cambridge came prepared for the worst of the Scottish weather, though :-)
DeletePerhaps they dress warm due to some of the old churches being pretty drafty and cold. Correct me if I'm wrong.

ReplyDeleteAs for the other ladies, nothing wrong with their ensembles but I'd have preferred to see them wearing some brighter summer colours and lighter summer hats. After all it is that season and they are on vacation... with an opportunity to be more relaxed in their public dress styles. Just my opinion.

What a great turnout, almost every one is there.The Queen looks great in this hot pink coat and hat ensemble. Kate also looks super. The other RL look their best too, from what one can see. Sad about all the controversy with Andrew. So the Family shows a United Front just as it should be. I missed the DoE for a while. I believe he like's his retired status, good for him.

ReplyDeleteLike everyone’s outfit- particularly the Queen’s bright pink. Some of the fabrics seems a bit heavy to me. I didn’t think it was that cold in Scotland this time of year.
