| On August 8, 2019, The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge took part in the regatta The King’s Cup to raise awareness and funds for eight of their charity patronages. The event took place on waters around Cowes on the Isle of Wight. The Duke and Duchess each skippered their own yachts. The Duchess of Cambridge chose four of her patronages and competed on behalf of the Royal Foundation, in connection with her work on the early years development of children. The Duke of Cambridge competed on behalf of Child Bereavement UK. Eight yachts represented causes supported by The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge. At the event, The Duke and Duchess competed with each other as skippers of individual sailing boats, in an eight boat regatta race. |

DeleteI actually find her leg spreading pic not flattering at all. Very masculine legs. Kate laughed when her daughter stuck her tongue out, but I would be embarrassed if my daughter did that because kids are honest and they often reflect how their parents feel about people in general. Letizia's daughtes are the most well behaved royal kids. Bravo Letizia.
DeleteThis is a sportive event, and it happens that you spread your legs, especially on a boat to keep stable. I would be extremely happy to have her legs, they are just perfect. The photo of Charlotte sticking her tongue out is fun, she ois probably teasing her brother. Stop being so judgemental.

ReplyDeleteWhere do you see a school uniform? She wears a Ralph Lauren Summer dress white and blue with a navy touch. Perfect for the occasion and the weather. She looks super cute in it and has become a 'big' girl. The whole family looks so relaxed on this sports event. It's a joy to see them so happy.

DeleteBeth - it is just a summer dress but it is very similar to many school uniform summer dresses worn here in the UK so I understand the observation.
DeleteHowever, if it were really uniform it would almost all the time have sleeves, and is usually a fine check rather than stripes.

In my humble opinion little Princess Charlotte looks very much like her great-grandmother, the Queen.(picture 12) - And I am sure, this is a very lovely, maritime summerdress, not a school-uniform.

Why do you want a slim, healthy, strong woman, who is obviously good in sports, loves to be outdoors and move the body want to gain weight? I will never get these comments. Look at her face, look at her healthy hair, she is glowing and shining, a woman in her late thirties can't look any better.

Like her dress though I can see why someone thought it was a school dress, though it’s a much nicer cut than most school dresses. I generally don’t see family similarities in small children that others think are obvious but I too think that she looks very like the Queen as a young girl, except for the hair of course. And thanks to whoever mentioned Lady Sarah Chatto. She is indeed very like her photos at a similar age. I had not noticed before.

DeleteI know they are Royals and that Charlotte lives in a certain milieu, but she is also a very lively and outgoing child; so I'm afraid you can't always prevent these spontaneous moments.
Re Charlotte's "tongue" incident: Perhaps the photographers stuck their tongues out at her (like they did when William & Harry were small) OR somebody told Charlotte to stick out her tongue OR Charlotte is sticking out her tongue to e.g. her dad. We don't know why Charlotte did that; but her mother's reaction seems to indicate that it was all in fun.

Bad weather and so, if she feel more comfortable doing sports with shorts even with bad weather no one should cares even if she was the only one wearing it.
But she is showing her legs, and what, everyone have legs even if someone, not me, think she or anyone else have ugly legs that it's just personal point of view... something that it's ugly for me could be beautiful for anyone else.
I respect anyone that may not have the same opinion, but I prefer to see royals as any other person, they have their "job" so they should fit to that but it's completely impossible to be "OK" for everyone.

ReplyDeleteDo like the navy pant, but not so much the striped top, to me this top looks something teenagers would wear. Little Charlotte must not have liked what someone said, so she show'd her tongue, oh well she is a little more outgoing than her brother George.

DeleteI'm happy to see the new pictures posted. Kate looks so young and fresh in the Sandro top and L.K. Bennett pants. I don't think the top can be worn successfully by many, but Kate is one that can. She has the figure for it. She has paired it well with those yummy pants. The top doesn't hide the button detail, which is one of the things I love about them. The length and width are perfect for her.
ReplyDeleteCharlotte's Ralph Lauren is adorable. It's a nice change from her typical smocked dress. Regarding the comments above, I don't think Charlotte sticking her tongue out is something to get so worked up about. I have watched the video, and if it wasn't for a photographer's zoom lense, it would be difficult to know what had happened. Is it possible that at age 4, little Charlotte has figured out that the other kids do not have people following them and taking their pictures everytime they leave their homes? She isn't doing anything that the children she goes to school with, or any other child her age (including her father, Uncle Harry, and her brother) haven't done as well. I am sure she is receiving the proper guidance at home, and will not grow up to be a menace to society.
Let's put it this way, because Charlotte is who she is, it's cute, if the mailman's child did it, it was rude.

ReplyDeleteDuchess Catherine is one of the most beautiful royal women and will be without any question. Most of her fashion choices are total save. Today she is experimenting a bit and did not met my personal taste with these two different peaces. I think they do not go together.
