On August 29, King Carl Gustaf and Crown Princess Victoria met representatives of the Police's National Operations Department (NOA - Polismyndighetens nationella operativa avdelning). The King and Crown Princess received information on how the police and other authorities are working to prevent blasting and shooting. National Operations Department (NOA) leads the operational activities.

    You prevent blasting and shooting by preventing uncontrolled immigration.
    I certainly wouldn´t dress in a light flowery summer dress to talk about a national crisis with unprecedented crime levels.
    Sorry to say Victoria, but this is all wrong.

      The face of crime where I live has also changed (Vanessa's comment). It's scary.
      Victoria's "housewifey" dress is a bad choice for this serious occasion. (No insult meant; I was a housewife.)
      I did not know about this murder; I shall go back to reading Aftonbladet for news from Sweden. Very sad.

      Agree with you Vanessa.
      Victoria look totally out of place at this event in her floral granny dress and bun. Something tailored and sharp would have looked more appropriate considering seriousness of the topic.
      I'm sorry to see what is happening in Sweden and that Sweden is no longer so safe country it used to be! Royals have security and protection, so I guess this is not something they have to worry?

    Monday's killing has shocked Sweden especially after it emerged that the victim, a 31-year old doctor was carrying her 2-month old infant.

      Seriously, 4:25pm? Most people who own weapons do not murder others. Society is changing, people are moving in who (shall I say) don't value things the same way we do. Mixing cultures causes pushback. /Julie/

      Mixing cultures?? Julie it's 2019 sweetie. Take you racism and get outta here. It's called the world and it would be pretty boring if everyone is the same. As a "mixed" person you are so offensive and most people are mixed. Most murders are done by people who own their gun so don't know what that even means. Can't blame a whole group of people over something done by someone else of the same group. How do you know they don't "value" the same things "we" do. Who are this "we"? Also you seem to think people of color are the problem..well if you're American why don't you check out our history and look at the Native American genocide (you forget we live on their land??), Slavery, lynchings, NINA etc - take a look at who started that. If you're European take a look at the Witch Hunts, Congo genocide, the Shoah, the Crusades...not people of color so get off your high horse. Stop hating. - Boudicca

    This was 'just' one shooting among soooo many others in Sweden. This used to be a peacefull country where you could enjoy going for a stroll in various cities but not anymore. Stabbing, robbery, assault and shooting is affecting the everyday life, unfortunately.
