On July 14, 2019, The Duke of Sussex and the Duchess of Sussex attended "The Lion King" European Premiere at Leicester Square in London, England. The Duke and Duchess met some of the cast and crew before watching the film, and afterwards greeted representatives from organisations doing work in the areas of conservation and the environment. Conservation partners and the Royal Foundation aim to raise awareness and support efforts to recover the dwindling lion population across Africa. (The Duchess of Sussex wore a black, full-skirted dress by Jason Wu.) |
OMG, she looks perfect. Stylish dress, shoes and her hair looks so good. She really has sense of style.
ReplyDeleteSmashing - love this couple.
ReplyDeleteWow! They both look wonderful. D. Meghan’s dress fits quite well, not perfect but I imagine her shape is changing constantly. It’s a nice style for her, and she does suit black. P. Harry looks so good in a tuxedo! (V.M.)

ReplyDeleteWow. What an elegant pair! Harry looks terrific in this suave and well fitting tuxedo. I like the single button. Meghan's sleek dress is sophisticated, smart and very her. Earrings are perfect with outfit although I wouldn't like that design normally. Bejeweled satin bag and shoe slingbacks are fab.
ReplyDeleteAgree!
DeleteAbsolutely.
DeleteThe dress is too tight! The dress is literally busting at the seams. I understand she has still has a lot of the pregnancy weight but if you are spending £1000s on totally brand new items of clothing they should at least fit properly.
ReplyDeleteLots of larger women dress fantastically well without looking squeezed into their clothing and majority of them do not have the money or resources at their disposal that Meghan has. Meghan has access to all kinds of professional styling, seamstresses and tailors if she wants so there is no reason for her clothes to fit so poorly. This isn't even just a post-partum problem. I noticed even pre-pregnancy her clothes were often poorly fitted.
I could not agree more - it’s a pity because she is beautiful
DeleteI agree.
DeleteAgree with you, this dress is beautiful But should have been a half size bigger. Just to tight
DeleteAgreed. I like honest reviews like this
DeleteTotally Ahtee!
DeleteYeeh!
DeleteThank you Ano 3:27. I’ve been wondering if my eye sight is getting worse. B/c I can’t see any busting: I need to make an appointment.
DeleteI like how this couple looks together. Very stylish. I just read that Harry was criticized for using readymade bow. All this is sending me the message that they are just like all new parents: focusing on what’s really matters in this life. And doing they job as well as possible.
I totally agree. She is squeezed in. I would be afraid to breathe deep properly.
DeleteFrieda
Meghan looks lovely;the dress is sparkly and pretty;the neck line is just right. The shoes are elegant;the hair is chic.Harry looks proud of his wife and that is right she is an asset to the Royals.
ReplyDeleteWowser! I must say that is a very 'comely' dress on the Duchess.
ReplyDeleteIt complements her fuller figure extremely well, and together with the correct length, choice of shoes, jewellery and the slicked-back hair, she's a sure-fire winner.
Harry looks very well put together as well, and together the two of them rock it! Well done.
Sadly, I cannot find anything nice to say about Beyoncés ensemble.
I love her hair and beautiful smile.
DeleteWhat a lovely couple; elegant and equisitely dressed and groomed.
ReplyDeleteAgree 100%.
DeleteMeghan beautiful, sleek, tanned. The dress..fabric and silhouette are just right for the occasion. Those shoes and the clutch, amazing. Harry.. at his best, unwrinkled, hair beautifully styled, A. Cut and fit of the suit A, Shoes, A. Bow tie in place, A. Well done Henry! Beyonce..really?
ReplyDeleteNice look on Meghan. The skirt part is genuinely lovely. Her accessories are on point, as usual.
ReplyDeleteThe dress is very pretty but it's too tight in the bust. It looks like it might be uncomfortable.
ReplyDeletePadded to prevent leakage if she is breast feeding?
DeleteI would think she has to be wearing pads.
DeleteThank you Chardonn8r and Anon 1:35. And the pads have to be a fairly good size to make sure there is no leakage at an event like this. The postpartum period can be challenging! Nothing fits quite right and your body is doing weird and wonderful things!
DeleteBoth are stunning. Her dress isn't too tight at all.
ReplyDeleteVery nice, she looks great! Well styled! The cut is good on her, her accessories perfect. Her hair is very tight again but better than the ponytail from Wimbledon. The dress seems rather tight at the bust, the bodice could've been a few inches higher as well.
ReplyDeleteBut, overall, well done Meghan!
(Wondering if there will be a lot of nitpicking again... Meghan, brace yourself...!)
I love the dress, but dear lord, it's one size to small. My chest hurts just looking at it.
ReplyDeleteShe has access to tailors/seamstresses and can order bespoke clothing. Why doesn't she use that access.
.... if not two sizes too small.....
DeleteOmg. Both look perfekt and happy
DeleteOmg! She just had a baby and is probably breastfeeding! Give her a break!
DeleteWOW, the dress, simple and classy but it is so nice for her. And nice to see, that she is a "normal" VIP woman who lost her pregnancy pounds in a long hard way. Unusual for Royals and Celebraties. She and Harry are nice and so happy together!
ReplyDeleteOf course she has. It's only few months since she gave a birth. I think pretty average and also healthy time to loose all the pregnancy pounds is around 9 months. Of course there can be even big individual differences.
Deletetout à fait de votre avis !
DeleteThe couple look great together at this event. As said above, Harry has really spruced himself up and looks fantastic Lovely sophisticated dress for the Duchess, a great choice for her as she copes with baby weight, but would certainly have looked better, and probably felt more comfortable, one size bigger. Hair is great again and love the earrings
ReplyDeleteOne question: Don´t you know why Meghan is often dressed like she go to the funeral?
ReplyDeleteThose dresses are too tight. Her breast is compressed, I'm afraid of her breathing. PS: I have almost the same dress, sleeveless only, I wore it with gold shawl so I didn't look sad.
Strange dress code at the funerals you attend.
DeleteI think her smile makes her not look sad and therefore negates the need for a gold shawl.
This is a fantastic dress. I love each piece Meghan is wearing. The bust of her dress is a bit tight, but as long as she is breastfeeding, she will not be a consistent size. The silhouette of the dress is perfect for her, the shoes are gorgeous, as is the purse, and the earrings are the perfect touch. Harry looks very handsome, and together they look so happy.
ReplyDeleteShe can‘t accept the rules of the royals and plays on her own .Harry with his unprocessed childhood trauma is an easy victim for her ambitions.
ReplyDeleteThere‘s a big difference to Princess Diana‘s rule breaks: she has had really good reasons, Meghan not a single one.

monty, wow!! Your comment is downright mean spirited, but instead of hurting this couple it only reflects poorly on you. You know nothing about the character of any of the persons that you mention, because there are light years away from you, your only information is what you see and read in the tabloids, and still you feel confident enough to psychoanalize them from behind your key board, self righteousness is generally a sign of ignorance, and intolerance, if you feel like preaching to the public about higher morals, I suggest that you take a look at yourself... Dang!! I should be used to deplorable trolling, but somehow I still get bothered by the sheer lack of humanity of some individuals.
DeleteI am going to go take my dog for a walk and enjoy seeing the puppies in the park, may I suggest that you do something of the kind? I am not an expert psychologist like you, but I bet it could somehow wash away some of that bitterness.
You are welcome!!
I'm sorry Monty, but when I read your comment, I literally thought: Here we go again...
DeleteThere have been so many events where she perfectly accepted and 'played' by the 'rules' (or protocol) of royals. And that 'Harry with his unprocessed childhood being a victim' sounds very bad to me too. Like Meghan is a criminal!
I also think you can't and shouldn't compare Diana and Meghan.
There is nothing wrong with Meghan here; only her dress is (too) tight.
That is my opinion about this.
Excuse me... but that's a very unkind comment.
DeleteMonty, your comment has nothing to do with fashion. It's interesting to see what kind of projection you put onto Meghan. It says something about you.
Deletefabiana
I obvioulsly hit a sore spot there. My comment is still harmless against reader comments in English newspapers 😬👺
DeleteOh well Monty that makes it ok - you're just troll-lite then.
Deletemonty...??? Your original post @2:42 was in response to Anon July 15, 2019 at 10.37 AM, which was wondering about Meghan not wearing wearing royal jewels. How did you go from borrowing the queens jewelry to Meghan breaking rules and Harry's 'unprocessed childhood trauma'? Getting push back from others here then makes you dig your heels in deeper and claim you have 'hit a sore spot'? I am very unclear what you are getting at, and I am a reader of 'English newspapers'. If you are trying to cause trouble, please do it elsewhere. It isn't working here.
DeleteI understand that people who loved Diana keep her in their hearts forever. But there is no sense to compare her to Meghan or anyone else. Those were different times, we are talking baby boomers and millennials. There is a huge difference. It gives me comfort that Diana didn’t have social media on her back. That would have been a nightmare. It was hard enough with all the gossips and tabloids. All I want to say is: be kind.
DeleteThe dress is pretty but indeed fits badly at the bust and the neckline, which is cutting into her flesh, leaving a red line around her neck. Not perhaps the best silhouette as she's transitioning back to her pre-pregnancy body. The problem with the dress is that although lovely, it's not forgiving, it accentuates every curve as it is too tight. Perhaps the same dress a size larger could have been tailored for her changing figure. I am not thin myself, so I know how hard it is at times.
ReplyDeleteWell observed!
DeleteI noticed that as well. This shows that the dress is a least 1-2 numbers is too small. However..the dress is fantastic, but at the moment not on Meghan.
Frieda
I too wondered about the red line around her neck. Pitty something was too tight. She and Harry looked good, for the most part. Not pictured was Beyonce's (not sure of spelling) full length dress which was not flattering (thunder thighs comes to mind) and her husband's hair looked horrific (in my opinion).
ReplyDeleteDas Kleine Schwarze geht immer.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful dress - but the fit is not quite there. I honestly wonder if some of the royals look in the mirror before they leave home. One bonus; her hair is very lovely with no messy tendrils. I really like this couple, and think some of the ugly comments are unfounded - and maybe based on her background.
ReplyDeleteGreat looking dress ,but a bit too tight on top. Hope to see her wearing it again in a few months, after she lost all of the baby weight. Shoes earrings and clutch great. Her smile was the best.
ReplyDeleteThe dress is small. The seams on the dress look like a bursting. Harry is dressed well, just
ReplyDeleteI´m wondering what his job is and who pays for clothes from expensive designers.
He's a Prince of the United Kingdom - that's his job. He represents Her Majesty and does a lot of work for and with charities.
DeleteClothes are paid for by Prince Charles from an allowance for official work. Also, the Duke and Duchess are also pretty well off privately so well able to afford expensive designers.
I think they look great. I love her hair like this - and I love her fuller figure and face.
ReplyDeleteOK - the dress is a bit tight at the top but her shape is changing all the time at the moment. I don't think it's a dreadful fit - hopefully we'll see it again in the future.
The is pretty but too tight in the bust.
ReplyDeleteI don't care for her hair pulled like that, and her dress should be a size or two larger. Shoes and purse are good. And her face and make up are very nice.
ReplyDeleteAgree. Meghan shows strength and self-confidence in wearing this beautiful dress while still coping with baby weight. She looks fabulous.
Deletefabiana
Absolutely, actually there is no need to put Duchess Meghan under pressure to loose weight. Breast-feeding is valuable experience and by the way everybody is free to hold on something like too black, too small both does give people a kind of strength for being a rock.
Deletemeghan looks STUNNING WOW, absolutely gorgeous woman!!!!!!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteStunning! Gorgeous couple.
