On July 13, Saturday, The Duchess of Cambridge and the Duchess of Sussex attended the Wimbledon final together. The Duchess of Cambridge and the Duchess of Sussex sat side-by-side in the royal box on Centre Court at the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club and watched the ladies' singles final played between Serena Williams and Simona Halep. The Duchess of Cambridge is Patron of the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club. (The Duchess of Cambridge wore a green midi dress by Dolce & Gabbana. The Duchess of Sussex wore a print midi skirt by Hugo Boss.) |
Not a fan of DM skirt or white shirt, DC dress ok, but to me Pippa was dressed the best, perfect
ReplyDeletePippa looked very nice indeed! She is a pretty lady with a nice taste. Love her dress!
DeleteJC: Just one word: Agree!!
DeleteI agree, Pippa looks fresh and perfect for Wimbledon final!
DeletePippa was best dressed AND very nice hair/braids.
DeleteDress of DoC a tad narrow around the waist, you see her bellybutton. This is a bit of a fail for a classy lady.

O yes, I loved this deep green dress on Kate when she wore it for the first time. Great to see it again! She looks beautiful as always.
ReplyDeleteMeghsn looks good too; pity her hair is so tight pulled back. Nice to see some colours again, I like the skirt. Personally, I prefer wearing a shirt or top in a skirt, than a blouse.
Ach, Meghan...

Mentioning postpartum pounds on a new mother is really uncalled for. She either is restricted to tent like dresses or pieces with some stretch so as not to be uncomfortable. 40 pounds is usually seen as a healthy weight gain in pregnancy, and some women never lose it all.
Frieda
Both lady’s outfits are wonderful.
ReplyDeleteMeghan’s postpartum figure seems natural and healthy. On the other hand, Catherine’s figure seems something unnatural today.
I always loved that dress, I think Catherine looks fantastic. Meghan looks very pretty with her hair pulled back, the blouse is just your typical always elegant white thing, the skirt is just OK, I don't care much for the elastic looking waist band it's just not flattering it would have looked better with a slighter longer top. I am glad to see that she is confortable showing her fuller figure, and doesn't seem pressured to hide the fact that she is not her usual pre baby size.
ReplyDeleteHair pulled back yes ok, should it be as tight as she did it? Often we say "no" when Pr Victoria does it.
DeleteSo awesome to see them hanging out together!
ReplyDeleteI've loved this dress when I first saw it on tour. Since its summer, I was expecting something a little more lighter or floral.
ReplyDeleteLadies looking lovely. Kate's dress got tighter. And Pippa is wearing H & M cause a have a similar dress from the store
DeleteKate's dress is very unflattering. She looks very happy and relax though. Meghan's shirt is just great and skirt ok. Even she looks happy and relax.
ReplyDeleteDo like Dss Kates dress the bottom part not a fan of the sleeves or the buttons, but a great color for Wimbledon. Dss Meghans skirt looks lovely. Like the print on Pippas dress.
ReplyDeletePippa wins the day for me. Love her dress, hair and earrings- I have actually loved everything she has worn to Wimbledon this year. While Kate's dress is lovely, it is not my favorite for this event. I, prefer Meghan's hair a little more undone/ looser. I like Meghan's pieces individually but for some reason I am not loving the crisp, white dress shirt worn with that skirt.
ReplyDeleteFully agree about Pippa and Meghan.
DeleteFor me, Philippa Mathews' dress is lovely--a perfect summer look for this venue. Meghan looks fine, blooming and healthy--such beautiful glowing skin. The splashy colors on her skirt are fun and the crisp white shirt, as Cherry Blossom said, is always elegant. Catherine looks pretty in the color green but the dress looks a bit tight. However, happy to see them all together enjoying each other's company.
ReplyDeleteIndeed.
DeleteKate's dress looks a little too tight too me, and the bust doesn't look right. The darts are creating points. The color looks terrific on her. I like Meghan's skirt and top. I think comfort is the main concern with her post pregnancy body. The waist band of the skirt is too high, but it is probably where she feels smallest or most comfortable having it. I am wondering how the matching top would have looked untucked. I like her hair pulled back. It looks perfect, while it looks like the weather might have had an effect on Kate's hair.
ReplyDeleteIt's a lovely dress on Kate, but I too would have liked a lighter, more summery colour. However can't fault her for anything else. She still looks fab.
ReplyDeleteAnon 9:13
I think Meghan looks fine - she's obviously happy with her new mum body and good for her. I like the skirt but not convinced by the white shirt with it - but she looks fine.
ReplyDeleteNot a fan at all of Catherine's dress. I don't mind the colour although it's not hugely summery. It looks too tight and I don't find it flattering on her - sorry, I think she looks like a string bean here. Also, I don't especially like her hair at the moment - personally I think it needs thinning and trimming. Overall, not one of my favourite Catherine looks.
As others have remarked, Pippa is looking very good.
Totally agree.
DeleteString bean means toll thin person in English? I do not think her head and other parts are well balanced. Her head seems to be getting more enormous.
Nice looks for all the ladies. The colour is terrific on Kate, Meghan looks her cool, crisp self. Pippa is best dressed, she looks fab with the fun hairdo and perfect for Summer and Wimbledon dress.
ReplyDeleteThe all look very relaxed in each other’s company and that’s nice.
ReplyDelete:pve the green color of Kate's dress, but it is definitely too tight, as you see where it pulls. I also would have preferred to see Meghan in the complete Hugo Boss' matching top and skirt. It appeared that Pippa was just tagging along with the Royals to get attention.
ReplyDeleteDon’t understand this comment. Why would Pippa want attention? Catherine has previously attended with Pippa and her mother and also with Meghan. Why should all three not attend together?
DeleteAs opposed to joining her sister for a day at the tennis - which she has always attended regularly.
DeleteNot sure which picture shows her trying to get attention - all I see is her walking down some steps to her seat.
Virginia, what an odd comment, I suppose that Pippa was there to spend time with her sisters, and watch a good match, why do you think she is trying to get attention? It seems to me that she a rather discreet woman and probably gets more attention from the paparazzi that she would like. I have never seen her behaving in any way , other than properly. Please let’s be kind .
DeletePippa and Catherine are serious tennis fans and play to a pretty high level themselves. They have been attending Wimbledon for decades, well before Catherine ever met and married William. Pippa has been quoted syaijg that her young dream was to be a tennis champion and play Wimbledon herself. They love tennis. To say Pippa is attending because she wants attention is ill-informed at best.
DeleteIndeed!
DeleteKate is looking very beautiful and Meghan is proud-post-pregnant, fine with me.
ReplyDeleteThe images of Kate Meghan and Pippa was a lovely scene ! To all those newspaper editors stoking bad feeling, let these pictures be the proof that nothing is afoot ! Seeing Meghan, almost shadowed either side by Kate and Pippa, spoke volumes I thought !
ReplyDeleteFashion wise, Pippa was the winner for me. But all the ladies looked happy and relaxed and enjoying each others company, as well as the tennis !
In the papers I saw thar Duchess Meghan and Lady Pippa do get along quite well.
ReplyDeleteLady Pippa seems to be really interested, which speaks for her.
Just for info, Anon 10:56, Pippa does not have a title. She’s not the daughter of a Duke or an Earl.
DeleteThat is true that Pippa does not have a title right now. However, since she married the eldest Matthews son, after her father-in-law passes, she will have the title of Lady Glen Affric based upon the land owned by the Matthews in Scotland.
-Elisabeth-
Her well being and acceptance of what can be a short term outline are unimportant. Just do not ruin the skirt.
DeleteAgree that Catherine’s dress looks a little ill fitting, even tight! Given what a terrific figure she has, that is surprising! Don’t think Meghan’s outfit is at all flattering but her hair is lovely and shows off her lovely face. Unusually, I would say, her hair looks better than Catherine’s. Pippa looks great.
ReplyDeleteMeghan's outfit is classic and elegant. Carolina Herrera for instance relies on this look of crisp white shirt paired with a skirt for many semi-formal occasions. Most of Meghan's wardrobe is probably too small. Eight weeks on she has to purchase items with the understanding that she will become smaller. It sometimes takes many months for a new mom to return to her previous form. Nothing will sit perfectly at the waist. In the meantime normal business must prevail as she has to be seen out and about. The other observation is the similarity of her aesthetic to QLetizia's. as seen in a look worn by QL two days ago. Kate and Pippa look very summery.
ReplyDeleteFashion aside, Duchess Catherine does not have a good posture in several of the photos. Also, I think that her hair is too long. Just an opinion.
ReplyDeleteThis green dress is great for Kate. The green looks so good with her hair color. I do not think it is too tight. I think it fits nicely and accentuates her healthy looking body. The blue flowers on Pippa's dress are pretty, just not a fan of all those ruffles. I do not care for Meghan's casual white shirt with the pleated long skirt, not my favorite of the items she has worn.
ReplyDeleteI wish I could like these outfits, but alas...Catherine's dress strikes me as rather heavy and formal for the occasion, and is so very form-fitting on her slender frame that it is actually unflattering at some angles (I never thought I'd say that!). Meghan's skirt and shirt just look all wrong together, imo. The simple, smooth coordinated top worn by the model works much better with all those pleats, while to me, the man-tailored shirt practically cries out for a pencil skirt, A-line skirt, or crisp cotton trousers. Oh well -- still a couple of beautiful ladies who at the end of the day would look good in flour sacks :=).
DeleteThe top looks like a T-shirt. The 'protocol' gurus would have thrown the book at her.

ReplyDeleteWhite and blue is always a winning choice - classy and elegant Pippa Mathew.
