Nice to see the members of the Royal family at the concert. Great that the Queen has such great relationship with her children.Maybe a small secret was told only for her ears? she seems very happy. It seems only Sofia's dad was there nice interaction. Must have been a cool evening,everyone is dressed warmer.

ReplyDeleteJust by their first names, I would assume. The Swedes — as we other Scandinavians as well — are fairly informal in that regard.
DeleteI believe the princess should address Mr. Hellqvist as Mr. Hellqvist, and he should address her as princess Madeleine, unless they threw the protocol to the winds and have agreed to what each should call the other.

I agree Anon 1.30. In Scandinavia people are very unformal - by their first names, I'm sure.

DeleteI’m pretty sure the informality includes the royal family as well, perhaps not the king but the other members of the family, especially the younger generation. And Sofia’s father is a family member for Madeleine. You just need to look at their interaction to know — if you are a Scandinavian yourself and have grown in the culture, where university students call their professors by first names etc.

ReplyDeleteMe too. I never tie my scarf that good. It's one of my favourite accessories. They all look great but Madeleine has really become the best dressed member of SRF!
DeleteTo me, the scarves look almost out of place. They are nicely draped, but make for a very autumn-y look.
DeleteI also can not tie my scarf, so it would look as cool as Madeleine's and Sofia's does. Its really nice accessory but also protects them from the night's chilly air. Very good look for both of them.
DeleteAnd its nice to see Madeleine getting along so well with Sofia and his father. Quite surprisingly no pictures of Madeleine and Victoria talking...
