Today, on July 16, 2019, Queen Letizia of Spain had two events at Zarzuela Palace. Queen Letizia firstly received representatives of the organizers of the International Congress of the International Association of Social Communication Studies (IAMCR / AIECS). The Queen then received organizers of the project "Santander Womennow #makeherstory 2019". Queen Letizia is the honorary president of Santander WomanNow Summit. (Queen Letizia wore a new tweed dress by ZARA - 19.99 EUR.) |
Delete@Angie Gracias!
DeleteBellissima.....!
ReplyDeleteNia
Classic and elegant. The deep blue colour is gorgeous on her.
ReplyDeleteThis dress somehow feels not right. Don't like the fringed out hem. This is just not Letizia of course this is OMO.
ReplyDeleteI love the fabrication and color of this dress. And the queen's hair, though similar to the usual style, looks especially pretty today. However, I do not approve of such a thoroughly bare shoulder for daywear. Even on the model, the 'shoulder drop' is much higher.
ReplyDelete(On a side note - I routinely notice in these group photos that the women of Spain, as a group, seem to be more stylish than their counterparts from other countries. Just MHO, of course.)
Dress, shoes, hair are all great!!
ReplyDeleteHer beautiful posture makes every dress beautiful ! Great hair too.
ReplyDeleteI think Catherine looks good with this hairstyle.
Anon 20.55 160719 - Catherine : deuxième prénom de Letizia ?? !!!
DeleteNo,no, no. The Duchess of Cambridge, of course!
DeleteI love this dress. The cut is very attractive as is the color and the fabric. Letizia always looks good in blue. I like the off-the-shoulder silhouette, and adding a slim belt to accentuate her waist was the right call. The skirt has just the right amount of volume. This is not the best time of year for tweed, so I am guessing it is not a very warm day.
ReplyDeleteShe is at home with air con, many women are wearing blazers, sometimes it is cold inside.
DeleteThe dress is made of viscose, polyester and a metal thread, so it's not really wool tweed. It just has a tweed pattern.
DeleteSuperbe dans cette robe à col-bateau joliment ceinturée !!!
ReplyDeleteMajor kudos to her for making a £20 dress look like a £2000 dress. She looks smashing.
ReplyDeleteYes! I have been trying to figure out why she looks so regal and perfect. I think it's mostly how she carries herself. She is very elegant.
DeleteShe is so beautiful!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous dress, perfect fit, perfect length and although it's dark the off the shoulder effect means it still feels summery. Glad she avoided the nasty white boots the model is wearing! The Queen has had so many excellent outfits lately. It's a joy to see her.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful dress!
ReplyDeleteStunning Letizua !
ReplyDeleteLove it! So feminine and becoming.
ReplyDeleteShe looks great, elegant. The color is perfect for her. I wish we will see this dress again in a colder temperatures too, as I love tweed. Congrats
ReplyDeleteThe dress is not tweed but a very light and open cotton or linen weave. I have another Zara piece in the same material.
ReplyDeleteI know is not tweed !
DeleteZara.com calls it "Tweed Dress With Gemstone Buttons". It is now sold out.
DeleteLetizia looks great! I find that she often wears the clothes better than the models.
ReplyDeleteLovely silhouette with a bit of Letizia daring at the shoulders. She makes it look much more expensive than it is. Lisa 1:05 best describes the composition of the fabric. It is a lightweight weave, visible in the drape of the skirt. The eye tells us tweed and the mind applies prior experience of the heavier fabric, since it is not there to touch. The trusty CH slingbacks round out her blue theme.
ReplyDeleteWonderful dress. She is so good at finding high street pieces and making them look as good as any overpriced designerwear.
ReplyDeleteLetizia looks very good in that Zara dress.
ReplyDeleteHowever, the dress must have been altered and shortened at the waist line for fitting. And unfortunately, the fabric hurts on the skin and feels uncomfortable and I didn't buy it.

Angie, the dress is made of 78% polyester, 21 % viscose and 1 % metallic fibre. I wanted to buy it quite some time ago. I think it was the metallic fibre who bothered me most. And the dress was quite long. I measure 1.65 m and my size is 34. The model measures 1.77 m and I think Queen Letizia is not tall as that. Even the small belt doesn't make so much difference in length. I believe that the dress was shortened at least 10 cm at the waist. But anyhow, the dress is very nice and it looks very good on Letizia.
Deletefabiana
Infalible.
ReplyDeleteI like the overall effect of the dress but not the details. The hem is uneven, and the fringed edges are coming undone at both hem and neckline. Also I agree with the comment saying the she pulled it a bit too far over the shoulders. Anyway, it's still a nice dress, especially for 20 euros. There are so many nice things available for under 100 euros, even my small town, I wish more people in the public eye would explore that price range, especially if they have the styling skills of Letizia.
ReplyDeleteVanessa
I like this dress on her and for me she looks much better than the model, even with the shoulder more expose than on the model, it looks for me much more "normal" on the model for me looks that it's stick to the skin.
ReplyDeleteThe only thing I would change its the sheath of the dress, but for me she really looks great and really looks a €2.000 dress and not €20 :)
WOW love this dress! She looks fabulous! Love the off the shoulder, it's 2019 people!
