On too many fronts, just NO to everything from color, shape, size, style, material.
ReplyDeleteAgree. She looks like the Statue of Liberty!
DeleteStem saam
DeleteTotally agree with the Statue of Liberty comment. And poor kid Jacques seems to be extremely tired. IMO he is way too young to attend this sort of event.
DeleteAtleast its not Black, any color will do.
Deletejacques looks so tall and grown up for 4 year old, very gorgeous
She does not look like the Statue of Liberty. Why would you compare a South African woman to a statue in America? She has no connection. Or are you just being rude?
DeleteWhat statue from what country do you look like?
Calm down. The statue of Liberty is french. Not only the design is french, all parts of the Lady are manufactured in Paris. As for Charlene she was born in Rhodesia and her ancestors are german. We all are part of a big mix.
DeleteAnd yes, Charlenes dress does look a lot like the one of the Statue of Liberty.
The comparison probably came because Charlene is wearing a draped Grecian style gown like the Statue of Liberty. It has nothing to do with the country the statue is in. And the Statue of Liberty, while in America, was actually a gift to the USA from France.
DeleteAnonymous at 4:16 AM, I think that Cynthia was referring to the loosely folded and draped look of Charlene's dress, which is similar to the loosely folded and draped look of the garment worn by "Lady Liberty". No rudeness involved, imo.
DeleteI would have to agree with Cynthia. Both the Statue and Charlene, are special, regal, important, and beautiful.
DeleteI dont agree with you completely. I don’t like the sleeves and it is much toooo long. The rest is fine, IMO
ReplyDeleteShe looks lovely - a beautiful soft summery colour. Love the drape and flow - perfect for staying cool in the summer.
ReplyDeleteI agree with you. A beautiful dress and colour on her and perfect for hot summer days.
DeleteOnly thing is I'd have gone 1.5 sizes smaller, and then adjusted accordingly. The dress is embarrassingly too long (she could very well trip over it if she didn't lift it) and the waist is not sitting in the right place, even if it is supposed to be above or below her waist.

Beautiful !
DeleteTotally agree
DeleteAgreed. Nice summer touch for an event in the open air.
DeleteLa course a eu lieu le 19 au soir, au bénéfice de 14 associations
ReplyDeleteRobe à fines rayures blanches et rouges
Nice to see a color. The fit of the dress is off- it looks a one or two sizes too big. I think if it fit properly it could be a beautiful dress on Charlene.
ReplyDeleteWell I like it as a whole for that kind of event. It gives an impression of sweeteness.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous
ReplyDeleteNice to see Pss. Charlene again. Can not make up my mind about this gown. The bottom half is more like a nightgown? at least to me, nice color. Love to see the little prince Jacques,he is a cutie.
DeleteOr bored.
DeleteAlmost certainly bored, for a kid his age.
DeleteJust no. In the first photo it looks like a nightie, then it's too long, then the slit sleeves do nothing for Charlene's physique. On the whole, I think I prefer the usual black, grey, dull look.
ReplyDeleteNo more black dresses please!!! Even though the alternative is wierd. I think she does this on purpose, her outfits always have a question mark, bit puzzling
DeleteTo me, it looks like a very glamorous nightgown, the kind that look good with those high-heeled slippers embellished with marabou feathers, in 1940s movies. A great look, but imo not for this event!
ReplyDeleteI think it is a little too long and I'd do away with the flounces in the skirt. However, that's just me because I don't like flounces. For the most part, it's a beautiful look.
ReplyDeleteTrop belle la robe de Charlene.
ReplyDeleteDommage que les photos soient de mauvaises qualités.
Mon petit bout de chou préféré est craquant.
