On July 26, 2019, Prince Albert II and Princess Charlene of Monaco attended the 71st Monaco Red Cross Ball Gala at the Salle des Étoiles of the Sporting Monte-Carlo in Monaco. The event enables the Monaco Red Cross (also known Le Bal de la Croix-Rouge Monegasque in French) to express its gratitude to its generous donors. Princess Charlene wore a new green cape effect crepe gown by Marchesa. |
DeleteWhat a pleasant surprise!! color makes a huge difference. First time seeing her in a green gown, and its a beautiful design!
DeleteWow . Charlene looks stunning. One of her best evening gowns and green is her color I think. Everything is perfect about her look .
ReplyDeleteIndeed! Classy makeup, great hairstyle and stunning dress and earrings. Albert needs a new tailor!
DeleteYes I agree fully, however her smile is missing.
DeleteMaryT, I look closely and I think that lack of broad smile is due to, perhaps, a recent "nip-and-tuck" ?
DeleteShe looks stunning all and all and this particular shade of green is great on the Princess. Beautiful!
ReplyDeleteSchrecklich.
Ansonsten: Frisur wunderbar, Schmuck und Kleid ebenso.

Oh, wow! Gorgeous dress. It's elegant regal and just fantastic. Hair is beautiful and she looks stunning. What a transformation.
ReplyDeleteMy thoughts as well. This is the Charlene I knew!
DeleteStunning, gorgeous. A wonderful look!!
Wow! She looks stunning. I love everything about this look, including the hairstyle.
ReplyDelete- Vanessa
WOW in big capital letters. But Prince Albert needs somme work at the gym and a change of tailor.
DeleteDeadeggs - indeed. I wish he was on par with the elegance and glamour of his wife, instead he looks like a waiter at best. The fit of his jacket and trousers is really poor.
Delete-vanessa
Albert is fond of a full break on his trousers, though I would say that is much more than a full break. He might try a half break, just to wean himself down to a quarter break. He would look taller (and tidier) if his pants did not puddle around his ankles.
DeleteThat is a stunning ball gown and a nice color for Charlene. Love her hair, the texture of her hair seems to be fine and maybe just a bit thin; however she works to find a style that suits her hair and not what everyone else does. I so admire her style. She seems to have a certain mystic about her and holds a bit back -- good for her -- what an amazing lady.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful dress, the color really suits Charlene.
ReplyDeleteHer natural makeup is so wonderful !
ReplyDeleteI love beautiful green dress. Incredible!
Green is quite often a difficult colour, but this is a beautiful dress and well chosen. Now, a bright smile would be beautiful too!!
ReplyDeleteThis is just a stunning and welcome change for Princess Charlene! She's discovered color, a feminine hairdo, softer makeup colors, shapely tailoring - just wow, wow, wow! So often she has looked hard and frightening, but NOT now. Well done, Princess Charlene.
ReplyDeleteVery beautiful I must say I thought her hair grew and she had a bun in the back of her hair but it wasn't and wish she had added a gold bracelet but it probably would have been too much bling. Overall its beautiful, where are the other members of the family ??
ReplyDeleteAt Louis Ducruet's civil wedding celebrations?
DeleteBut they don't normally attend the Red Cross Gala anyway.
Bold color in a fluid fabric, soft make-up, and major earrings make for a winning combination.
ReplyDeleteThe world needs more capes.
Perhaps we can borrow a cape from dr. Strange? Or two...
DeleteFantastic look on Princess Charlene. She looks very regal. Hair, make up and earrings are on point.
ReplyDeleteIf anyone should be wearing a dress like this it's Charlene, with her height, broad shoulders and general statuesque figure...and my goodness she looks marvellous in it!
ReplyDeleteIt's an interesting shade of green, but I think it might have looked even more striking if it had been a deeper, jewel toned emerald green. Still, she looks fantastic in it. Brava!

Princess Charlene is so pretty! The green colour suits her and I love her hair like this ...very soft and feminine !
ReplyDeletePss Charlene looks like a Million Dollar. Best look ever and the color is great. The earrings are stunning. Now this is perfection.
ReplyDeleteEasy. With approx. 1.4 billion Dollars in the bank it should be easy to fork out 12k for a dress. Well, not for an iron but the skirt of the dress was badly in need for one.
DeleteAnnoymous 8:25pm, nobody keeps that kind of money in bank. Networth means investments in property and assets
DeleteOh, really? You mean, they can't just go to their bank safe, dig out the 12.000 quid and leave? Pity. That's maybe the reason that the dress remained unironed. No cash left to buy one.
DeleteBeautiful dress, beautiful color. Charlene's face somehow looks different.
ReplyDeleteCharlene looks beautiful. The color and fit are perfect. She wears the gown much better than the model. Her earrings are all that is needed as a finishing touch.
ReplyDeleteI agree this is a stunning look on Princess Charlene. She looks better than the model imo.
ReplyDeleteYes, she does!
DeleteI share the point of view that this dress fits very well on Charlene...but like Rainha Leonor, It lack the best of it: a wonderful smile.
ReplyDeleteAgree with you and Rainha.
DeleteI also agree. She does not look happy.
DeleteWell, last but not least a discovered a lovely smile, while she was dancing with Albert! (on the later published pictures) She should smile a lot more, because she looks great when she does...
DeleteToday on Tuesday 30th we could conclude that she did not look happy on Friday 27 because of the wedding on the next day, who knows?
DeleteAll this outfit needs is a Smile,
Great dress in an extraordinary color. And somehow she looks pretty different. Very attractive - with the certain glow. She should ????? The time will tell.
ReplyDeleteUtterly stunning from head to toe. Love the soft waves in her hair, the drape and flow of the gown, the gorgeous Repossi earrings. Fabulous.
ReplyDeleteAlso, her smile wasnt missing - plenty of photos of her smiling.
Agree her smile wasn´t missing. But the smile of others is missing e.g. Charlotte, Stephanie, Caroline, Pauline, Marie..
DeleteWould have been surprised to see Stephanie and family smiling at the Red Cross Gala given it was Louis civil wedding reception.
DeleteCharlotte has never attended so why would she start now? She may also have been with Louis and Marie.
Caroline also hasn't gone for years - it seems it's the Albert and Charlene show now.
Looking at the photos to start and then the ones where they're dancing I think she's just uncomfortable in the spotlight. She wasn't raised in these circles and if she's introverted which I believe both Albert and her are she will never appear fully comfortable. Further the media decides which pics to show and they'll always show ones where she's not smiling to remind you of the brouhaha at the wedding. That generates more interest. I also THINK she's just so different from his family that unless required they just don't interact much. Happens in many families.
ReplyDeleteI think you just hit the nail on the head....... not everyone loves to be in the spotlight like e.g. Maxima. I do not like the latter’s over the the top screaming with laughter always and everywhere.....
DeleteMany other commoners married into royal carry themselves well; Maxima, Mary, Kate. Charlene was an olympian she had the advantage of being the spotlight from a young age, doing sports interview on camera. In the beginning, when she was his girlfriend she used to smile alot at these events
DeleteBeing an Olympian in no way compares to being a princess. I think this would be very overwhelming for most people. Princess Grace, being an Academy Award winning actress, was accustomed to the spotlight. Charlene may have thought she knew what to expect, but living it was probably very different. That may be why she is exposing her children to it so young. Her own sister-in-law, Stephanie, doesn't smile often. She isn't even smiling in the picture at her son's wedding. We don't know what Charlene is like when the cameras aren't on her. It is very nice when we see her smile, but my feeling is that she probably has a lot of anxiety in those situations.
DeletePrince Albert's trousers are waaay too long.
ReplyDeleteshes the best dressed among royal ladies period!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteReally? Questionmark!
DeleteBei uns sagt man in solchem Fall: Wer schreit hat Unrecht. LOL.
DeleteThis rich emerald color makes a statement. Charlene looks wonderful. The earrings are abit too large. Otherwise, an A+.
ReplyDeleteDes bretelles ou une ceinture Monseigneur !!!
ReplyDeleteYes .... she looks stunning and her dress is beautiful .... but she slmost never smiles ... most of the times her face is frozen ....in fact that bothers me a lot !!!!
ReplyDeleteWhat about smiling once in a while?
ReplyDeletePerhaps she and Tatiana Santo Domingo have a secret sour face contest running?
Australia?
DeleteOnce the heart feels blessed, the smile is real.
ReplyDeleteBelle belle belle!!
ReplyDeleteLes boucles d oreilles magnifiiiiques
Stunning!
