On July 7, 2019, Dutch King Willem-Alexander, Crown Princess Amalia and Princess Ariane attended the final match of FIFA Women’s World Cup France 2019 at Lyon Stadium in Lyon, to support women's football team of the Netherlands in the game played between The Netherlands and United States of America. USA won the match by 2-0. The Netherlands women's football team took second at the World Cup. |
I feel Catharina-Amalia looks quite different facially from the last time we saw photos of her. Has she slimmed down? She’s still a lovely girl but looks less like her father in these photos.
ReplyDeleteI agree. Somehow she look a bit less like her father and grandma, now I can see a bit more of Maxima in her as well, especially her eyes, in the last 3 pics she definitely resembles Maxima like never before. And how tall she has become already! She looks beautiful, almost nothing left of the "little girl/teenager" look, she is quickly turning into a proper young lady.
DeleteYes indeed Anon 3:14, you're right about the resemblance. I see more Maxima in her too. Over the years, children and teenagers can change a lot!
DeleteGreat photos. I feel Catharina-Amalia looks quite different facially from the last time we saw photos of her. Has she slimmed down? Or is it simply her make up? She’s still a lovely girl but looks less like her father in these photos.
ReplyDeleteCatharina-Amalia is strikingly beautiful. She has her own look but in facial shape and cheekbones most closely resembles her Grandmother, Queen Beatrix, as a very young woman. Hard to see much of her outfit but orange suits her well enough.
ReplyDeleteI wonder why Alexia didn't go. Amalia and Ariane look very nice. There's a shot of the king and Amalia laughing which contrasts with the face of the other 3 men in the picture #5.
ReplyDeleteThey are a happy family, always cheerful, even when the rest of the crowd is gloomy
DeleteIndeed.
DeleteMaybe Alexia is not a fan of football matches . I hope she is fine and enjoying whatever she likes.

Anyone know where Alexia and Maxima are?
ReplyDeleteRoyalty fan
ReplyDeleteAriane, is turning into a beautiful girl
The Netherland lost to the United States but I admire the Dutch good fight.
ReplyDeleteThey always look like they are having fun. Amalia is turning into a striking looking young woman.
ReplyDeleteAmalia is only 16 years young but looks older with too much make-up compared to princess Elisabeth the belgian crown princess who turns 18 in October.
ReplyDeleteCrown Princess Amalia turns into a beautiful young lady with a very unique look. She seems to be smart, confident and attentive. Her parents obviously are doing a great job preparing her for her future role.
ReplyDeleteNice father and daughters outing. Amalia is a stunner. Her sister Ariane is a cute girl growing up fast. Amalia has the royal wave down perfect. She wears a little makeup not overdone.
ReplyDeleteI know I will be attacked for this question, but: do you really think this girl is a "striking beauty"??? She's average.
ReplyDeleteDear Coralie, I really hope you won't be attacked! I understand what you mean. Amalia looks good, she's pretty, yes, but I wouldn't call her a 'striking beauty' too. In my honest opinion, Alexia is prettier. But Amalia is nice, and I think lots of girls still want to look like her ;-)
DeleteI didn't say striking beauty - I said striking young woman as in she has presence and can draw attention. And so, yes I stand by what I said - I think she has charisma.
DeleteAs for beauty - eye of the beholder etc. I don't think she's average, I think she's a pretty young woman.
Rosalyn and Franny, thank you so much for your friendly replies! You prove that it is possible to have different views WITHOUT attacking another person! I appreciate that very much! And yes, Amalia is nice, and she has a a supportive parental home and I think the people in her country like her. All this is so much more important than being a classic beauty or not, isn't it!
DeleteYou are right, Coralie, with your last two sentences. Well said!
DeleteAnd of course we can stay nice! (I think we all should, though.) That's way better than attacking or being rude, isn't it? :-)
Absolutely Coralie. And yes, she seems like a nice young woman - it's interesting watching the next generation coming into their own.
DeletePity, our honest and neat opinions are deleted (mine, Vanessa's, and someone else's). These three were just fine, only the fourth was rude and provocative.
ReplyDeleteBut deleting all of them? Pity.
And my opinion hasn't changed; I still think Amalia is using quite a lot of make-up for her age. She definitely doesn't need it because she is a beautiful girl!
@Rosalyn, when I was trying to delete that rude comment, I deleted your comment and the answers given, by mistake. It was my fault and I apologize for this.
DeleteDear Helen,
DeleteI feel almost honoured to receive a reaction from you! Please don't worry, mistakes can happen. It's fine!
And I really love this blog and the huge amount of time and energy you put in it. So much information about the events, the fashion and dozens of comments every day... I appreciate it a lot, and have a lot of respect for you. Great job and keep up the excellent work!
Thanks for your time and kind words, Rosalyn
Helen, thank you for clarifying. And thanks for your amazing job with this blog!

Rosalyn, I complained to Helen about the totally unjustified remark that was made about your comment and the terminology that was used.
DeleteDear Franny, how kind of you! Thank you very much, I appreciate it very much. Glad to see I'm not alone in this 😊
