  1. I feel Catharina-Amalia looks quite different facially from the last time we saw photos of her. Has she slimmed down? She’s still a lovely girl but looks less like her father in these photos.

I agree. Somehow she look a bit less like her father and grandma, now I can see a bit more of Maxima in her as well, especially her eyes, in the last 3 pics she definitely resembles Maxima like never before. And how tall she has become already! She looks beautiful, almost nothing left of the "little girl/teenager" look, she is quickly turning into a proper young lady.

    2. Yes indeed Anon 3:14, you're right about the resemblance. I see more Maxima in her too. Over the years, children and teenagers can change a lot!

  2. Great photos. I feel Catharina-Amalia looks quite different facially from the last time we saw photos of her. Has she slimmed down? Or is it simply her make up? She’s still a lovely girl but looks less like her father in these photos.

  3. Catharina-Amalia is strikingly beautiful. She has her own look but in facial shape and cheekbones most closely resembles her Grandmother, Queen Beatrix, as a very young woman. Hard to see much of her outfit but orange suits her well enough.

  4. I wonder why Alexia didn't go. Amalia and Ariane look very nice. There's a shot of the king and Amalia laughing which contrasts with the face of the other 3 men in the picture #5.

They are a happy family, always cheerful, even when the rest of the crowd is gloomy

Maybe Alexia is not a fan of football matches . I hope she is fine and enjoying whatever she likes.

The Netherland lost to the United States but I admire the Dutch good fight.

  8. They always look like they are having fun. Amalia is turning into a striking looking young woman.

  9. Amalia is only 16 years young but looks older with too much make-up compared to princess Elisabeth the belgian crown princess who turns 18 in October.

  10. Crown Princess Amalia turns into a beautiful young lady with a very unique look. She seems to be smart, confident and attentive. Her parents obviously are doing a great job preparing her for her future role.

Nice father and daughters outing. Amalia is a stunner. Her sister Ariane is a cute girl growing up fast. Amalia has the royal wave down perfect. She wears a little makeup not overdone.

  14. I know I will be attacked for this question, but: do you really think this girl is a "striking beauty"??? She's average.

    1. Dear Coralie, I really hope you won't be attacked! I understand what you mean. Amalia looks good, she's pretty, yes, but I wouldn't call her a 'striking beauty' too. In my honest opinion, Alexia is prettier. But Amalia is nice, and I think lots of girls still want to look like her ;-)

    2. I didn't say striking beauty - I said striking young woman as in she has presence and can draw attention. And so, yes I stand by what I said - I think she has charisma.

As for beauty - eye of the beholder etc. I don't think she's average, I think she's a pretty young woman.

    3. Rosalyn and Franny, thank you so much for your friendly replies! You prove that it is possible to have different views WITHOUT attacking another person! I appreciate that very much! And yes, Amalia is nice, and she has a a supportive parental home and I think the people in her country like her. All this is so much more important than being a classic beauty or not, isn't it!

    4. You are right, Coralie, with your last two sentences. Well said!
And of course we can stay nice! (I think we all should, though.) That's way better than attacking or being rude, isn't it? :-)

    5. Absolutely Coralie. And yes, she seems like a nice young woman - it's interesting watching the next generation coming into their own.

  15. Pity, our honest and neat opinions are deleted (mine, Vanessa's, and someone else's). These three were just fine, only the fourth was rude and provocative.
But deleting all of them? Pity.
And my opinion hasn't changed; I still think Amalia is using quite a lot of make-up for her age. She definitely doesn't need it because she is a beautiful girl!
