On July 23, 2019, King Felipe VI of Spain and Queen Letizia of Spain received Spanish synchronized swimmer Ona Carbonell at Zarzuela Palace in Madrid. Ona Carbonell was born on June 5, 1990 and won her third medal in the World Championships on Wednesday in Gwangju in South Korea. Queen Letizia wore a button detail stretch wool dress by Michael Kors. |
Today, Queen Letizia also chaired a working meeting held with the directors of the Cervantes Institute at the Royal Monastery of San Lorenzo de El Escorial in Madrid. At the meeting, the main actions in the international promotion of Spanish language and Spanish culture were summarized. |
Very beautiful.👍👍
ReplyDeleteI love this look, so lady, but so classic but fresh and vibrant at the same time.
ReplyDeleteFor me, she really looks very good with this type of dress.
I also love the fact that both King and Queen be so affectionate with their guests, I know the classic monarchy prefer something more distant and stiff but i really prefer to see them as any other person, they have feelings and emotions and if we're humans why not show it?
ReplyDeleteAlthough some of these have been repeats, I'm running out of superlatives for Letizia's outfits just now. Another fantastic choice and her hair looks great tied back like this. I'm afraid I don't like Ona Carbonell's outfit at all.
ReplyDeleteAgree in all points!
DeleteAgree, yes, we are running out of adjectives to describe Letizia's great looks and Ona's outfit is quite strange and just not attractive. Perhaps she was trying for something over the top to meet the King and Queen, but this went too far over.
DeleteAnother day, another sartorial home run for Letizia. Gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteImo Ms. Carbonnel's skirt is a tragedy. (But that's impossible! It's on trend!! :-D).
Trend or not - it is a tragedy!
DeleteShe is a young person who has done extremely well in her field and has chosen an avant garde outfit for this meeting.
DeleteThe lace overlay could have been shorter, perhaps cut in a pattern at the hem, or a gathered ruffle to break up the pencil skirt are constructive alternatives.
Tragedy: an event causing great suffering, destruction, and distress, such as a serious accident, crime, or natural catastrophe.
Well "tragedy" is definitely an overstatement. Fully agree with Anon3:00!!! Not the first time I read here some people are against any avant-garde.
DeleteHumorless: lacking a sense of humor.
DeleteHa ha ha, Jane! My thoughts exactly!
DeleteNuestra bella pareja real junto a nuestra bella sirena.
ReplyDeleteNice dress again and great side swept ponytail! Really suits her face.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful color and a lovely summer dress. Q Letizia looks pretty and the king is the most handsome man .
ReplyDeleteYes he certainly is handsome. He is my favorite person in these photos.
DeleteFantastic look for Q Letizia. Michael Kors great dress.
ReplyDeleteQueen Letizia is wonderful as usual.
ReplyDeleteBut Ona is real winner today!! So lovely!
Absolut. Für mich ebenso!

Agree, Ona is a young and natural beauty.
DeleteI can agree with Anon9:09
DeleteFabulously fitted dress on Letizia but I don’t like the button detail. Ona looks lovely. Very summery and nice.
ReplyDeleteCould it be any better? What an impeccable look. The fit and cut of this dress is simply perfect. And Letiza shows how you wear a dress in perfection, her posture and her radiance make a simple dress look perfect. The color of this dress ist the Pantone color of the year 2019 - Living Coral https://color-of-the-year.com/
ReplyDeleteWool dress in July in Spain??? Why?
ReplyDeleteNatural fabrics are better than polyester, it is summery wool, it allows to breathe better than the plastic...
DeleteQL is killing it this week. Flawless.
ReplyDeleteI can't think of a superlative to describe the Queen's style that hasn't been used already. She is exceptionally beautiful and graceful, and her fashion sense is flawless.
ReplyDeleteWonderful dress and great color. Spot on.
ReplyDeleteLetizia looks sweet, Ona looks elegant.
ReplyDeleteOna elegante y juvenil.
ReplyDeleteLetizia, as usual, normal.
