Cute photos. Fashionwise, there isn't much of relevance here as these are private photos and everyone is in supercasual mode. I have often wondered about those quilted jackets though that Scandinavians seem to wear with anything. I know they are super lightweight but they still seem out of place in summer, so the combining shorts and a puffy down jacket would have never occurred to me. (I would have thrown in a long sleeve shirt or a hoodie.) Haha. Those jackets must be the most comfortable and convenient garments ever invented. -Vanessa
I am from Germany and I wear my super lightweight all year (also cool summer nights) ... it only depends on the temperature ... not on what the calender says ...
I agree with Miracle. I am from Norway. We can't just look at the calendar. July in Norway might consist of four seasons, and I'm not even kidding. It snowed several places in Norway on the 3rd of July this year. A practical jacket is never out of place for us.
In southern Europe it's so hot you would die in a jacket. Her fashion choice looks weird, naked legs and long sleeves, but it's easier carry a jacket around than long pants haha I would like to spend few days in cold Norway.
Oh, I don't mind the jackets as such, I can see why they are so practical, and yes,I'm aware that there can be cold days even in July. It's the combination of shorts (or is it actually a miniskirt?) and the down jacket is what I find odd, since it was clearly warm enough for bare legs. Nevermind, was just a thought. Vanessa
It was probably warm during the day and a little bit colder in the evening. These pictures were taken at their summer residence on Dvergsøya island on the southern coast. The coast in Norway is usually quite windy. And also the light makes me think that these pictures were taken during the evening. Maybe she changed the outfit 20 minutes later? Who knows, the pictures are private after all.
Lightweight vests and jackets are commonly worn year-round if the air is cool or it's windy. I was in Los Angeles for three weeks in June and I saw many stylish women wearing a light down vest for comfort and looking quite good.

ReplyDeleteMarius sieht mitgenommen aus, dunkle Ringe unter den Augen - was macht er jetzt eigentlich für einen Job?
