We know that she favours dark colours but at this time it's probably strategic while losing pregnancy weight.
ReplyDeleteIn some photos the length looks fine (just above the knee), and in others like it could do with an additional inch or two. I'd also have opted for a less wide belt and buckle.
But these are small matters. It's an OK dress, she looks fine in it, and it's good to see the Duchess up and about.
Yes, great dress but I noticed, too, how its length seems to be different in different photos. Imo it looks best hitting the middle of the knee.

DeleteThe dress cute but it is too tight: you can see the seams straining around her upper arms and bulge above and below the belt. I get that she is still adjusting to being larger than she was pre-pregnancy and her bust will fluctuate but if she had worn a size up would have created a more flattering silhouette that skimmed her body like the model.
ReplyDeleteShe always wears extensions when her hair is down but she needs to stop with the over the top Kardashian style extensions unless she gets a better hairstylist because in many of the pictures from today you can see exactly where the stylist has attached the half wig at the crown of her head to increase volume. A better hairstylist would have blended it in with her hair rather than just attach it as a parting. Shoddy work by a professional.

It is mostly a period of rapid weight loss, but only in some areas of the body. @ 4:36 Seriously!! No detail was missed?? Baseball games are informal. DeleteA nice appearance by the couple. Meggan looks very pretty - faithful to her usual style. Have to say I wouldn't choose a solid dark colour for 34 degrees but she and Harry seem quite comfortable here.

ReplyDeleteMeghans Kleid inkl. Schuhe finde ich schick und elegant, hätte mir aber bei diesem Wetter einfach etwas sommerlicheres gewünscht-vor allem die Farbe. Sie trägt zu oft schwarz in meinen Augen. Vielleicht hätte sie auch eines ihrer bereits getragenen Kleider recyceln können. Das wäre ein gute Sache.
Ansonsten sieht sie blendend aus-auch ihre Figur.

DeleteIch persönlich finde eben nicht, dass die Proportionen stimmen. Das meine ich nicht böse, ich finde, sie sieht um die Hüften ausladend aus und das würde ICH nicht an mir betonen. Nach einer Geburt würde ich mich nicht so kleiden. Full Stop. Ich persönlcih würde dann 4 Monate oder wie lang auch immer auf engere Kleidung verzichten. Aber das ist MEINE Meinung, Ladies. Und deshalb finde ich ihr Outfit nicht schön.

Die Extensions erkennt man auf anderen Bildern besser. Extensions haben nichts mit glattem Haar zu tun. Meghan lässt ihr Haar dadurch voluminöser und fülliger erscheinen. Schaut Euch mal bitte andere Fotos an. Dort kann man die Ansätze der Extensions erkennen. Und vergleicht alte Fotos. Derzeit hat sie sehr viele Haare ... fast zuviele!

DeleteNun ja, sie hat vor zwei Monaten ein Baby bekommen und stillt. Wahrscheinlich trägt sie zusätzliche Stilleinlagen im BH. Da ist es schon schwierig, den perfekten look hinzubekommen. Aber es ist nun auch nicht so schlimm, dass man nicht darüber hinwegsehen könnte. Vor allem wenn man den Grund kennt.
I thought the same thing about her using extra pads since she is out in public, away from home. This is the wrong time to pick on the fit of her bra. Her size of her breasts are changing constantly while breastfeeding.

DeleteIt is comical what some of you believe "Hollywood" is like. Celebrities typically go about their everyday business looking like anyone else, trying to blend in and not be bothered by the public. They dress up for public events, and then it is nothing like the clothes that are seen here (that are called "Hollywood" by some of you). It is not their job to be conservative, it is their goal to stand out at these events. It is as important to get publicity for the designer as it is for themselves.

If you want to get a feel for Hollywood, go back to view "Prince Albert and Princess Charlene attended 2019 Monte-Carlo Television Festival" on June 18. There are a couple of people there that will give you a feel of what it is like. Denise Richards is in a red dress, and doing a typical pose to show as much leg as possible. Another one is Alan Cumming wearing a polka-dot suit and guy liner. Of course the clothes can get much more costume-like, and very often do. The next day, they are back in jeans and a tee, with sunglasses and a hat. The women don't necessarily wear makeup. They just pull their hair up. I can guarantee that it can be disappointing running into a celebrity in their private life. They look nothing like they do on the screen. Stop believing everything you read. Your perception couldn't be more wrong.
Well said 'Char'. Another example is Cannes. A lot of flash and glamour, but the next day everyone is in swimsuits having a vacation. The celebrities dress up to promote their work. Using Hollywood as insult is for the geographically challenged.
Delete@chardonn8r, I am so glad that I am not the only one that is puzzled by the " Hollywood" comments, it's a ridiculous statement, one of those things that somebody writes and then all the talking heads repeat. This couple look at each other with affection, and maybe they have decided not to follow the typical royal portrayal of extreme reserve, which is also absolutely OK, but I for one enjoy seeing humans being joyful.

DeleteGreat to see the Sussexes out and about again and looking so happy. There has been so much negative publicity in the British press in the last few weeks that an appearance is especially welcome. Quite like the dress and flats in spite of it being dark and absolutely agree about how much better she looks with a little extra weight. In these photos she has great legs where previously they looked unflatteringly thin. Can someone younger please explain to me the point of hair extensions here? I can just about get it for someone like Queen Maxima who has such fine hair but why would Meghan bother with all that faff when she has lovely thick hair?

DeleteAnnieM, I would assume that you are Caucasian, hence you aren't familiar with the African hair, it's not an issue of thickness, but texture, and requires a great amount of maintenance, unless is cut very short. I disagree with the comment above about her hair looking bad, I think it's just fine, Nice cute dress, although I think it would have looked better if it had been a couple of centimeters longer. Above all, she looks like a regular new mom, loosing weight at an average, healthy rate. Unlike some people I am not bothered by their affection for each other, it's not like they are all over each other "...........
DeleteExtensions add body and length. Her real hair is thin and fine and maybe just past shoulder length. She had she had nice hair when she was younger but she has been straightening it and using extensions on it for years. You have seen how small her hair is when it is an updo? That's how much hair she really has. And all the flyaways? That's how fine her hair is.

DeleteHi AnnieM. A person doesn't need extensions to look like they have a lot of hair, especially when they have natural curl. It depends on styling. When it is straightened or pulled up, it looks like a lot less hair. I am caucasian, and have fairly curly hair. Letting my hair dry naturally can look like I have enough hair for a village. The straighter I make my hair, the thinner it looks. Seeing a difference in fullness does not necessarily mean you are seeing extensions.

I think she looks better with her hair shorter or with an updo. Apart from that is this outfit lovely, I would wear both myself, dress and shoes.

Hach, Meghan und Harry sind wieder da! Toll. Ich finde, die paar Pfündchen nach dem Baby stehen ihr super (besonders die Beine profitieren davon). Aber, sie wird die Kilos wieder verlieren wollen. War es nicht Wallis Herzogin von Windsor, die gesagt hat: als Frau kann man nie zu dünn oder zu reich sein. Was mir an Meghan auch gefällt ist, dass sie es richtig krachen lässt und hauptsächlich nur wirklich teure Designersachen trägt. Die Show, ab und an ein günstiges Modell zu tragen, um das Volk zu besänftigen, spart sie sich. Finde ich ehrlicher. Sie kann es sich leisten, also, warum nicht. Würde ich genauso machen.
