On June 11, 2019, King Carl XVI Gustaf, Queen Silvia, Crown Princess Victoria, Prince Daniel, Prince Carl Philip, Princess Sofia and Princess Christina attended "Polar Music Prize 2019" ceremony held at Grand Hotel in Stockholm. Polar Music Prize was founded in 1989 by the late Stig "Stikkan" Anderson, one of the true greats in the history of popular music. Its name stems from Anderson’s legendary record label, Polar Music. (Princess Sofia wore a new silk floral maxi dress by Dolce & Gabbana.) |
I like the dresses of all the ladies, my favorite is the Queen’s dress. I dislike CP Victoria’s earrings...
ReplyDeleteAlso the King and the Princes are looking really good 👍🏻
ReplyDeleteVictoria: wow, wow, wow... I love it!
ReplyDeleteLoving Victoria's ' Villanelle,Killing Eve' vibe ! :-)
ReplyDeleteHM looks stunning.
Sofia's look is a little too 'busy'! The pattern on the dress, then the headband and the earrings !
Agree.
DeleteThe upper part of Victorias dress is very nice, but I really don't like the down part.
ReplyDeleteIt would have been a lovely dress if the down part would have floor length and would be smaller without so much ruffles.
So, as it is, it looks more like fluffy cotton candy.
Silvia looks very nice, Sofia looks really good, maybe a bit unusal but good :)
wonderful dresses, so sunny and summery
ReplyDeleteLa vie en rose. Yes, sunny and summery. Why not? It will be winter again soon in their part of the world with the return to somber colours and darkness.
DeleteAgree!!!
DeleteIn the 5th picture, Victoria looks as beautiful as l've ever seen her. The dress is over-the-top romantically dreamy. If only she would let her hair flow out in a similar way. But lovely look nonetheless for a summer night.
ReplyDeleteSo true. my exact thoughts 💕
DeleteThis year Victoria overreaches her touch of extravagance at this event. I like how Sofia is dressed.
Was trägt sie da?
DeleteFrieda
Ah, danke Frieda für die Info. Ja, das ist gut möglich!!
DeleteSofia looks really beautiful and this romantic style fits her, I don't care for Victorias dress, to much.
ReplyDeleteSomeone tell Princess Sofia less is more. Too much.
ReplyDeleteAs if she is going to read the palm of someones' hands. Hefty pricetag USD 5872 when it was new (2015/16)
DeleteWow -- Sophia looks extraordinary -- the red and white floral dress, perfectly coordinated red headdress, earrings, perfect hair, etc. And an interesting dress for Victoria -- quite out of character for what she usually wears. Has a fairy tale quality to it.
ReplyDeleteTotally agree. This is dressing outside the box for a change. And at the right venue to do it. Kudos to Victoria and Sofia for dressing a bit different. Nothing wrong with that.
DeleteShe has exactly the same style, hair and hairpiece, as Madeleine had at Adrienne's christening.
DeleteIt is a music festival so this is the time to be a little different. I thought they all looked wonderful. Sofia just looks fantastic in any form of red. Love her hair with the flowers. Different.

ReplyDeleteWonderful outfit everyone. CP Victoria wores that gown gorgeous.
DeleteI generally don't like this over the top fussy dresses, but I am loving this one, I think she looks fabulous, whimsical and playful, this is one of those outfits to wear once, I think Victoria will look at these pictures one day and smile.
ReplyDeleteI also like Sophia, she looks like a spring muse, lovely. The Queen's dress is happy and age appropriate as well. Beautiful ladies!!
Indeed
DeleteWow, I love the outfits on CP Victoria and P. Sofia. They’re so striking and so exuberant! They must have been checking out what Q.Maxima wears lol. Even their auntie is in a colourful caftan. I’m not a fan of Q. Silvia’s droopy shawl, but I guess it’s a comfortable choice for her.
ReplyDelete(V.M.)
Sofia looks so young and pretty, she knows how to wear a dress. The queen looks nice as well. But Victoria's is a big fail for me: fluffy, many layers, many lengths, looks like a 50's American prom dress, not romantic at all, she looks lost inside it, and her ever present ugly hair bun!
ReplyDeleteIt’s not her normal everyday bun. (Which isn’t ugly either. :) )
DeleteSuper nice color dress on Victoria, but it is not my favorite too much tulle ,but she can pull it off.Love the Queens dress very pastel and the pink shawl gave it something extra. i like the bottom part of Sofia;s dress a lot on top too many daisy;s but overall very nice,so are the men. It was very special to see Pss Christina there as well.
ReplyDeleteVictoria: OMG!!!! On dirait qu'elle est un bonbon.............
ReplyDeleteBoth Victoria and Sofia have a lot going on here. Sofia is over-accessorized. I would rather the headband OR the earrings, not both. The dress does seem to suit her personal style, and it is nice seeing her hair off of her face. Victoria's dress is a bit too voluminous, both top and bottom. It would have been nice to see one half of the dress more contoured. I love how feminine Victoria looks. The pink tulle around her face gives her such a delicate look. Even the way her hair is done looks more feminine than it usually does when it is pulled back. I think she is carrying herself in a more elegant, feminine way because she knows she looks beautiful.
ReplyDeleteoh dear! Sophia, the earrings; no..... the head dress no; .... the dress no!
ReplyDeleteVictoria, you look like you were caught up in a wind storm after emerging from one of those candy fluff machines.... I usually enjoy your clothing, but wonder why you chose this 'fluffy mess'... Queen, you look lovely, would have been better instead of the bright pink shawl to have a subtly mauve colored shawl..... wow, just a lot going on with these outfits.
Fist Bump
DeleteVictoria looks spectacular! The dress is fabulous - perfect for the event. The top wraps her shoulders and frames her face most beautifully; the bottom makes her look like a sexy princess. Her makeup is wonderful.
ReplyDeleteI agree for the "perfect for the event".
DeleteSilvia looks good.
ReplyDeleteVictoria looks like a fluffy cupcake sorry.
Sofia would look better without all of that flowers going on.
The Queen is the wearing the only descent outfit.
ReplyDeleteThe others are nothing but awful.
A powder puff pink, and a blood splattered daisy gown are ridiculous.
Exactly, Sofia's dress is much too much and the headband and the flower bouquet make it even worse!
DeleteI think, Barbara Cartland would have loved CP Victoria's pink candy floss dress, I don't! ;-)
Love, love princess Sofia!! This look is so good for her. Color, fit, everything. She is having fun with this look. Princess Victoria is the same way. Little bit too much for me but you know what, it is better than what she has been wearing. Both Victoria and Sofia’s makeup is on point. They look sort of cutting edge. And it IS a music festival. Wow. Sometimes you just have to branch out a bit. Love it! Silvia and Christina look fine. I like it. Can’t say it is what I was expecting and that isn’t a bad thing.
ReplyDeleteI love sofia’s Earrings!! Wish I could see them up close. That is a bold look for her. Love it!!!
DeleteI can’t stop admiring Victoria. This is her best look in a very long time! She’s a young woman, she has many years ahead of her to wear “regular” outfits. I’m glad she’s enjoying her youth!
ReplyDeleteCan´t agree more.
DeleteIs Victoria wearing a custom-made dress by HM? I mean, her dress kinda looks like some of the dresses in the Giambattista Valli x HM collection. It wouldn't be the first time she's wearing HM. The design is at least very Giambattista Valli'esque.
ReplyDeleteI thought so too. Is the collection already "published"?
DeleteFrieda
There was a pre-drop of the collection on the 25th of May, but the main collection will be released in November I think :)
DeleteThe Queen looks lovely and the princesses fabulous. Victoria's dress is OTT but fun and a beautiful colour and I like the contrast with the more severe hairstyle. Sofia also looks fab - love the floral dress and i like the extravagant accessorising. Just wonderful.
ReplyDeleteI'm a bit on the edge with the outfits. First, the queen looks beautiful: Elegant and regal.
ReplyDeleteThe colour of Victoria's dress is nice, but there is indeed a lot going on. The bodice and the skirt look busy and fluffy and for me, it's simply too much. If the skirt would've been floor length without all the layers, it would've looked better in my opinion. But her hair is better than usual this time!
Sofia... well, I actually like it. It's busy, yes, but she can have it. The headband may be too much, but is also completing the whole look and it's all in the same style. I think that's why this look works. So yes, I really like it!
The poppies on Sofia's dress are lovely, they are now in full bloom in Middle-Europe's nature all over. However, I could have done without the daisies. They interfere too much with the poppies, which should stand for themselves. Otherwise, it's a great summery outfit, just as I like all the summer vibes of the rest of the Swedish royal ladies.
ReplyDeleteOh comme elle est jolie Sofia !
ReplyDeleteI don't know how you could look at the outfits here -- particularly Victoria's -- and not conclude that there was a dress code in place requiring female royal attendees to try to look goofy. I give Queen Silvia oodles of credit for confining the goofiness factor to her bouquet (or whatever that is :-D ).
DeleteVictorias dress is awful. It looks like children have used a lot of scarfs to make a dress for a doll.
ReplyDeleteSofia-all those flowers?PR for a garden stores opening in Stockholm or?
Silvia, either to much or boring. This time soooo boring.
They have the money, but not the style to use them.
V and S has great playful outfits. Something very different but still just right for this occasion. Only thing I don't like too much are Sofia's earrings - they are nice but a little bit too much with hairband.
ReplyDeleteI must admit I was shocked the first second I saw them all, but another second I just smiled and I can't say a thing to criticise them. Daring and full of life.
ReplyDeleteOMG, Princess Sofia is dressed as a flower seller Eliza in "My Fair Lady" !
ReplyDeleteCP Victoria's dress is a big NO !! Indeed,it looks like a ballet costume to me!
WOW!! :-O That's a whole lot of pink dress going on for Victoria (or anyone else for that matter). Cotton candy, any one? Her and Daniel look like a prom couple from the late 1980s/early '90s - and not necessarily in a good way.
ReplyDeleteAs for Sophia ... why? This is one of those dresses that, imo, is not good as fashion or even as an editorial piece in a fashion show. It's just ugly and way too busy. Did she loose a bet and have to wear this dress as a dare? Jeepers!
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO Victoria, noooooooooooooo! Why is the Queen holding a pie??
