King Willem-Alexander of The Netherlands and Queen Maxima of The Netherlands are making a state visit to Ireland as the guests of Irish president Michael D Higgins. The visit takes place in Dublin and Cork from 12 to 14 June 2019. The state visit began in Dublin, where President Higgins and his wife, Sabina Higgins, received the King and Queen at Áras an Uachtaráin, the president’s official residence. Next, the King and Queen, in accordance with Irish tradition, planted a tree in the garden and ringed the Peace Bell. (Queen Maxima wore a outfit from Claes Iversen.) |
Beide Damen sehen sehr gut aus.
ReplyDeleteWie sympathisch und freundlich das Irische Präsidenten-Paar doch ist. Wunderbar.
Gorgeous dress from Claes Iversen 2019 Couture on HM Queen Maxima!
ReplyDeleteQueen Maxima looking very divine.
ReplyDeleteusually she has an assistant to hold her clutch and not the first lady
What a beautiful and personal dress. And I really like her hat. Defenetily Maxima style.
ReplyDeletewow, she is bringing all that gold to us!
ReplyDeleteI just like this Maxima's appearance, great dress, hat, shoes; that's usual the case when she wears something from Claes Iversen.
ReplyDeleteGreat dress! The collor combination is nice. A bit to much 'gold' on the arms for my taste.

ReplyDeleteNee
DeleteI get it. You're right!
DeleteUw opmerking is een in een mooi jasje verpakte belediging.
DeleteHelemaal waar
Deletelaat dat "heer" maar weg voor de naam Peters.....
DeleteWhen I saw the first picture, I was curious about her outfit and thought it could be nice.
ReplyDeleteThen I saw the sleeves.
And now I can't help wondering why she went on state visit in handcuffs...
Ha! Those sleeves reminded me of something from Star Wars...But I do like that her hair is styled nicely with a nice hat.
DeleteI like the draping and cut of Maxima's dress and she wears it well AND it is the right length, but those sleeves... a bit too much for me. I can understand doing something on the sleeves since the fabric is so plain, but the sleeves look like metallic gauntlets. Some embellishment near the cuff and maybe unto 6 inches more would have looked better, but not all the way up to and past the elbow is my comment.
ReplyDeleteMrs. Higgins looks smart and appropriately stylish for the occasion. Very nice.
I agree. The draping is beautiful.
DeletePochette, zapatos, vestido con incrustaciones de joyas, bordados, todo dorado, inestetico mas tan de mañana con lluvia y viento.
ReplyDeleteGold sleeves, gold belt, gold shoes....but her hair looks nice. Sabina Higgins looks pretty in (hot) pink.
ReplyDeleteWow Maxima looks amazing . Very divine.
ReplyDeleteOutstanding!
ReplyDeleteBoth Ladies look spot on.
ReplyDeleteI can cope with those sleeves because everything else here is perfection. It is helpful that the bling-iness of the sleeves is balanced by the gold belt and shoes.
ReplyDeleteThe lovely soft green is accented nicely with the gold, I agree, and her hair and hat make a nice ensemble perfect. I love the shape and drape of the dress and the length is flattering. It is so much more beautiful than the Natan designs. She doesn't need outlandish styles to be the center of attention, but is lovely when a dress is well-designed, fits, and flows softly.
DeleteI wish the embellishments on the sleeve of her dress were just a little less and i would really like it. Her hair looks a bit better but honestly I wish she would just cut it. It is so straggly and thin. It would look healthier and fuller if she cut a significant portion off.
ReplyDeleteI always look forward to seeing what Queen Maxima will wear next. Her designs are always classic yet with a contemporary edge to them. This outfit reminds me of something a modern day Cleopatra would wear in a good way...Keep entertaining us, you are wonderful!!!
ReplyDeleteAgree every word. She is never blah.
DeleteThe sleeves are certainly very ornate but are they not chosen so that the Queen is wearing green and gold--the Irish colours? Great dress, beautiful draping perfect length and I like the less OTT hat. While I am a huge fan of colour, Mrs Higgins vibrant pink is a bit much, even for me
