Dutch Queen Maxima is attending the G20 Summit in Osaka, Japan, in her capacity as the UN Secretary-General’s Special Advocate for Inclusive Finance for Development (UNSGSA) and as honorary patron of the G20’s Global Partnership for Financial Inclusion (GPFI). At the invitation of Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe, Queen Maxima gave a speech at the G20 side event relating to women’s empowerment. In the margins of the G20 Summit, Queen Máxima also had bilateral talks with representatives of countries actively working to improve access to financial services. |
Nice to see the Queen at such a high level Summit as the G 20.I hope she has more meetings with Head of States not only with the Saudi CP. Would be nice to listen in at all the Topic's of the day. I do like her dress, also the red one she wore last night for dinner. I must say she is one busy lady.
ReplyDeleteQueen Maxima is doing a great job 👍🏻 Today is a. bad hair day for her 🤔
ReplyDeleteThat unfortunate palm tree silhouette on her dress looks like a huge black spider prominently and embarrassingly positioned on her bosom (same is true with the model in the photos). *Ouch*. I wish she had chosen something different. When she gets it right, she gets it so right, but when she gets it wrong...
ReplyDeleteOtoh, maybe I'm so afraid of spiders I see them everywhere.
I had exactly the same impression - wrong, wrong place for the palm tree/spider
DeleteJust because she doesn't have full glossy hair like Mary or Catherine doesn't mean it's a rats nest. You're just being rude here!
DeleteAah, the Palm-Tree dress again!
ReplyDeleteUgly outfit, ugly hair.
ReplyDeleteShe should have tried harder to look better at such an important occasion.
I don't think she will ever bother. If by now she doesn't know her hair looks like a rat's nest, she never will. I'd be ashamed in her place. Maybe she lacks the time, but she sure doesn't lack the money to have a hair stylist, or a lady in waiting or someone similar to see that she is properly coiffed and attired.

DeletePretty sure she burned those clothes after the meeting with the murderous Crown Prince. There are some very interesting photos of her and her grimacing face. Someone said if Maxima isn't smiling everything is wrong in the world and they are right. SA didn't even acknowledge his meeting with the Queen.
ReplyDeleteBrava to her for doing her job and sitting next to a murderer and escaping intact.
Such a charismatic woman . Q Maxima looks good in her Valentino dress and very beautiful in her red one she wore at evening for dinner.
ReplyDeleteLololol @ Diane Browns comment, about burning her Valentino dress, you nailed it. The Dutch and their Parliament NOT amused…
ReplyDeleteMaybe Maxima finds the topics of this meeting more important than fashion, not like Trump's daughter. The Dutch Queen seems very genuine and knows what she is talking about. A Queen to be very proud of.
ReplyDeleteAgree.
DeleteAnd you know Ivanka Trump personally?? Have you attended any meetings with her?? I doubt it!
DeleteQueen Maxima is a class act. Some of the comments are below the belt. It seems to me some of the people try to tell her who she can or can not speak to. Everyone has dirt on their hands? being pure of hearts are newborn babies, I don't see any there.Maybe the world has to take a glance at themselves, wonder if they like what they see? First stone and so one maybe you understand what I am getting at.
ReplyDeleteNo one said a thing about who she should speak to. It is her job. Brava for her for managing it all. She was there for the job. But you can see the strain on her face. It has been noted by many journalists. Imagine having to deal with someone like the Crown Prince. As to dirt on their hands. You do realize that he is responsible for the killing of a journalist who was dismembered. That is more than dirt.
DeleteVery hard to be close to ppl like that when you know who they really are. My arena is forensics and mental health and let me tell you ....being in close proximity to some is difficult. So I applaud her.
Yes we not always have the choice of picking people we want to speak to or not. Reality is a rude wake up call. Such Reality which, can make one ill until the end of time. Life goes on, but we shall never ever forget, we are always only one step away from any horror, no matter who we are. Queen Maxima is a total PRO. Smarts and Diplomacy wrapped up in one hand. God bless Q Maxima. She is doing a great job.
