On June 13, Queen Mathilde visited two farms in Heers and Lummen of the Limburg province. During the visits, the Queen met the female farmers. In Heers, The Queen firstly visited a farm that breeds cattle, grows crops and strawberries and focuses on green care. In Lummen, she visited a farm that grows kiwi berries and strawberries. |
Nicely fitting
ReplyDeleteEin schönes Kleid. Nette Farb-Kombi.
ReplyDeleteSteht ihr gut.
Yes, the dress fits nicely but Mathilde loves color and lively things, and this dress feels very "sad." The blue flower design helps, but the dead gray-beige drains her look around her face and hair.
ReplyDeleteIN my opinion, the dress seems to pull across the chest, making it look to tight. And the belt seems to ride a bit high on the waist.
ReplyDeleteQueen Mathilde looks beautifully chic . The cut and the color of the dress really great.
ReplyDeleteSorry, I disagree about the fitting, I think it is too tight in her chest area, it squashes her breasts so much that she looks almost flat chested. It doesn’t look comfortable at all. And the waist is also in the wrong place. Add the sad shade of grey and the whole look is a failure in my view, it makes her look tired and lifeless. If at least the flowers were a more vibrant colour it would have made a difference
ReplyDeleteThis dress is not flattering both in colour and fit. It fits too tight across her chest and arms. And the colour is just not good. I also don’t like the chunky wide bracelet.
ReplyDeleteAgree
ReplyDeleteTerrible fit... I can't see why she can wear a more appropriate outfit when you are going to be amongst cows. Maybe a nice pair of summer pants and a simple top.
ReplyDeleteAgree in all points another outfit would have been better.

DeleteTotally agree, Cherry Blossom, if you know you're going to visit a farm, you dress very informal, casual, and with summer pants [Bermuda], and a simple top, you put on sneakers, low heeled pumps. And leave your dresses and court shoes at home
Love the pretty blue print on the skirt; don't like the collar. A scoop neckline and bringing a bit of that same print to the bodice/shoulder area would do wonders for this dress.
ReplyDeleteOh no Mathilde ! Very sorry for those who like but this dress is not fitting at all !
ReplyDeleteI'll rephrase my earlier comment : I meant "fitting" for the occasion, but not really fitting her own morphology.
DeleteSorry, this is a real fail from Queen Mathilde. It is not at all flattering--the colour is dull, the top is too tight and the cut makes her look overweight. Sorry to be so negative but I really can't find anything good about this dress.

DeleteAnd to top it all, AnnieM, the wind threatened, to give her a Marilyn Monroe moment, like that one photo
This dress is not fitting and the material is not nice.
