On June 20, 2019, Crown Prince Haakon and Crown Princess Mette-Marit visited Pride Park in Oslo. The Pride Park is an open-air festival arena and a part of the Oslo Pride festival. (Crown Princess Mette-Marit wore a red belted peplum jacket by Oscar de la Renta and a red frayed wool-blend tweed midi skirt by the same brand.) |
I like this on her. Great colour, a swishy skirt, fun peplum jacket that fits well, and those amazing rainbow shoes. (V.M.)
ReplyDeleteSo good to see them. Mette-Marit looks lovely. Although the gap in the bustline is a major detractor. Wouldn't you think someone would tell her? Or did she not look in the mirror? Proper posture would help also.
ReplyDeleteHaakon looks good, and do I catch a glimpse of different shoes?
I think she has had problems with her backbone or neck. Maybe that's why there is a problem with her posture. We can't ignore her health problems here
DeleteI feel that this is often the problem; if you have a bit of bust, there is very often these gaps around the bustline. You end up using clothes that do not open in the front. As it is such a common problem, would it be too much to ask that clothes come with an extra little hook in strategic places?
DeleteSo true, I always put them on afterwards and if need be
DeleteWhat a beautiful outfit, the color is outstanding, the skirt has a lovely movement, if only that unbecoming flap in the front wasn't sticking out, it would be a 10 for me. Very good choice of shoes, a nice departure from the boring pumps.
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely !
DeleteGreat style and soooooo far away from boring.
DeleteGreat outfit for MM. Flare out skirt balances the peplum and the color is terrific for her.
ReplyDeleteThis is a great effort. I am glad to see she wore the belt this time. She did need something to close the gap that keeps popping open. Such a little thing makes a big difference. The skirt is very flattering on her. I love her shoes. They work great with the outfit, and great for the occasion.
ReplyDeletewith or without belt, this nice outfit does not fit her at all, unfortunately.
DeleteI like this outfit. The skirt is beautiful!
ReplyDeleteI know this is a fashion site, but any Mette Marit appearance is good for me. She is just so Norwegian, I just love her.
ReplyDeleteLove the skirt, love the shoes, love the colour, hate the top--was unfaltering last time and still is today.
ReplyDeleteWonderful to see Mette-Marit out and about and looking well.
I still don´t think that the jacket fits her well, but it makes so much more sense WITH the belt. And the triangular gap in the peplum (which I found very distracting with the white trousers) isn´t quite as prominent here, so much better overall. Wonderful colour in any case, skirt and shoes are great, and Mette-Marit looks lovely in these pictures.
ReplyDeleteI like her softer wavy hair better than the super straight hair this time.

I agree with all of it.
DeleteIt was so touching to see Crown Prince Haakon and Crown Princess Mette-Marit supporting the LGBTQ community at the Olso Pride Festival. You can just tell they are having a wonderful time engaging with the crowd. By having royals attending these events it can benefit those living with AIDS/HIV. Hopefully it will encourage others to donate or volunteer and maybe one day we can find a cure for this horrible scourge. You can just tell how genuine and sincere they were by the look on their faces. Hats off to Crown Prince Haakon and Crown Princess Mette-Marit!!!
ReplyDeleteMM is short waisted and has a slouchy posture but the skirt with this top works great. Much better look then with the slacks. Beautiful outfit!
ReplyDeleteGreat look for Mette Marit today. The color is great on her. Also nice to see her again.
ReplyDeleteHappy to see her again.
ReplyDeleteShe looks fantastic in this outfit! :-)
