On the second day of their Poland tour, Crown Prince Akishino and his wife, Crown Princess Kiko visited the southern city of Krakow. On arrival, the Crown Couple was welcomed by Mayor Jacek Majchrowski at the Market Square in Krakow. Then, the Crown Prince and Crown Princess attended an official breakfast held in the city's historic cloth hall (or the Sukiennice as it's known in the local lingo). The European tour marks the centenary of Japan's diplomatic relations with Poland and Finland. |
This is a different outfit for CPss Kiko. Not bad but I like the regular suits better on her.She seems to have a good time. I am glad for her.
ReplyDeleteWhat a surprise! They both look relaxed and they seem to be enjoying the visit. They are so stiff and severe in Japan...
ReplyDeleteDon't know where to put this. Today Prince Joachim of Prussia and Css Angelina of Solms- were married in Spain today. The bride wore a very nice lace dress. Lots of guest's and nice Fashions. There are Photographs on the Royal Forums House of Prussia enjoy. If posted , Thank you.
ReplyDeletePrince Akishino and Princess Akishino are not Crown Prince and Crown Princess.
ReplyDeleteThey are Imperial Heir.(Japanese name is Koshi.)
Prince and Princess Akishino are officially recognized as Crown Prince and Crown Princess.
DeleteHere is the official site of The Imperial Household Agency Japan.

One abdication... and TWO blossoming female roles of duty! First Empress Masako and now Crown Princess Kiko.
ReplyDeleteI too am very glad to see them so interactive, relaxed and smiling. They all seem to be happy and embracing their new roles. Well done to this couple.
As I said in another post a few weeks ago, I cannot wait for the new Emperor and Empress to make a foreign State Visit. It would be just lovely to see them enjoying the pomp and pageantry that other Royal Houses typically extend to their respected allies.
I know it is not the sort of comment expected here, but I see nothing appealing from those two.
ReplyDeleteNeither do I. Princess Akishino looks often rather frumpy. IMO, of course.
DeleteUn couple fort détendu... La princesse héritière Kiko est vêtue d'un ensemble dans un tissu très fluide qui lui sied à ravir !!!
ReplyDeleteThis is my perspective, but Crown Prince Akishino needs a hair cut and to get rid of the mustache. It makes him look very sloppy, something the Japanese culture frowns on for the public image. I am surprised he looks this way, given the strict code they use for women and their appearance.
ReplyDeleteI agree about his hair and mustache. And I do like her suit's fabric with the skirt more relaxed and comfortable-looking. And she isn't wearing a dreadfully boring hat. Yea!
DeleteI have never felt those two.
ReplyDeleteMARIE
I so agree about the CPrince’s hair! It’s very unflattering. The CPrincess looks relaxed and comfortable in her outfit, although lighter or brighter shoes and bag would be more summery. (V.M.)
ReplyDeleteIMHO, this couple has been very mediocre and looks gloomy and unpleasant. Nothing is outstanding or special about them. It is very hard to put a shining words on them. Maybe it is because both Emperor Naruhito and Empress Masako are so remarkable and brilliant.
