On May 13, two presentations for The Duke of Edinburgh's Award Gold Awards Presentations were held at Buckingham Palace. The Earl and Countess of Wessex and The Duke of Gloucester attended morning presentations. The Princess Royal and Princess Beatrice joined the Earl of Wessex for the second presentation in the afternoon. Founded by The Duke of Edinburgh, in 1956, The DofE is the world's leading youth achievement award that develops over 400,000 young people for life and work every year in the UK. (The Countess of Wessex wore a flared stripe dress by Roksanda). |
Very wonderful
ReplyDeleteWhile I feel I have had enough of florals, I think Princess Anne looks great here--the cream jacket tones down the pattern. it's great to see her featured on this forum. Can we please see her more often? Beatrice's dress looks ill fitting but it may be that the wind caught it as she came down the steps--I like the colour though. Sophie's dress is also a lovely colour and it's good teamed with the navy jacket. (One of my D of E boys was there today and I'm dying to hear how he got on )
ReplyDeletePrincess Royal looks lovely;I like Beatrice's dress. The Royals are very supportive of each other the Duke of Edinburgh Award is excellent for young people from all walks of life to try new things. My friends daughter went for the Silver award ;it was such a sense of achievement.
ReplyDeleteGreat outfit from Sophie, also like the blue dress from Beatrice. I also like Pss Anne's look today very spring like. Nice so many were out for the same cause.
ReplyDeleteHow nice to see the princessroyal laughing. So she looks so much friendlier.
ReplyDeleteRoyalty fan
DeleteI agree Anon 10:50, and I will never forget, it was a few years ago, at an Olympic game, that she was in stitches, I have never seen her laughing so much!
Lovely looks, all of them.
ReplyDeletePrince Edward looks really sharp and put-together here! If he is his own stylist, I'm in awe -- well done, Sir.
ReplyDeleteHe always looks very sharp, just like his dad. He actually dresses the most like him, more structured. The Prince of Wales, although always sharp, prefers lighter, more open cuts.
DeleteIt's nice to see Anne smiling. Funny that of of all the Queen's children, she still has a full head of hair!
ReplyDeleteSophie's dress is nice, but i really don't like the pairing with the navy jacket, I find it odd.
ReplyDeleteYes, I think the proportions here are quite out of whack -- the jacket would look good with a pencil skirt, imo.
DeleteI can't say that I love Sophie's dress. The color is depressing, so is the striping and it is too long. It seems whatever she does and wears, she is judged to be wonderful. Well, she may be just that, but her taste is on the not-very-flattering side, in my opinion. Her look needs to be brightened up.
