On May 20, The Duchess of Cambridge visited the RHS Chelsea Flower Show to show a group of children her garden. The Duchess has designed The RHS "Back to Nature" garden to inspire children, families and communities to get outside and enjoy the huge benefits that nature has on our physical and mental wellbeing. The Duchess also took the opportunity to thank the team of collaborators who have been involved in The RHS Back to Nature Garden project. (The Duchess wore a new white shirt by M.i.h Jeans) |
I’m not body shaming but this look should only be worn if you are tall and slim like her. You have to give it to her, she makes culottes look good thanks to its impeccable tailoring.
ReplyDeleteYes, you can only wear this kind of trouser when you are tall and slim but a little bit of hip would be nice also, this is not feminine imho.
DeleteAgree Iris. In fact the culottes are more flattering on a bit round hips.
Deleteha ha agreed!
DeleteGorgeous.
I'm sure those pants are super comfortable, but they're not super flattering.
ReplyDeleteEntirely agree. Bring back the skinny jeans---did I really say that???
DeleteShe looks so elegant and fresh.
ReplyDeleteIch liebe die Blumenschau in London und ich mag auch dieses Outfit. Es ist unangestrengt klassisch und genau richtig für die Show. Beige und Weiß gehen immer.
ReplyDeleteI must say I am not a fan of these type of pants, but Dss. Kate makes them look very very nice the blouse gives it a little extra. Good choice for this outing.
ReplyDeleteI like the whole ensemble, color, style, and right on point for the event, but I must say that this culottes are very unflattering for her figure, one absolutely need to be svelte to make these pants look good, but on her they just don't look good. I also think that hair is getting a little too long, perhaps a trim will be an improvement.
ReplyDeleteThey are for a woman with more curves, I am not saying nothing about the weight, the hips though.
DeleteI think she looks very nice - smart but practical for clambering around with the children.
ReplyDeleteHow I hate this kind of culottes, eves so thin person like Catherine cannot look good at them.
ReplyDeleteI am totally with you Blondiini. I don't understand why she doesn't try straight leg trousers? it's either skinny jeans or these palazzo/culotte wide legged trousers - neither of them look good on her. If you look at other women with similar thin build - Mary, Letizia, Marie - straight/slim leg trousers, or cigarettes, not the tightest skinny ones, look fabulous on them. How I wish to see her once in well tailored cigarette trousers, I think she would look phenomenal, professional and comfortable at the same time....
ReplyDeleteI really like this look. It is nice to see Kate dress down. She does it so well. This is a look that is young, appropriate for the occasion, and allows her the comfort to be active. The sneakers are perfect. I like the culottes, and it is nice to see her exploring new options.
