On May 29, 2019, the 23rd of the hikings in the landscape of Sweden started by Crown Princess Victoria took place in the Jamtgavelns nature park and region. Medelpad is a historical province in the north of Sweden. Medelpad hiking concluded north of Värsjön, after a hiking of 10 kms.The Crown Princess wants to visualize and introduce the amazing nature of Sweden by hiking in different natural preserves of Sweden. |
Once again on a hike,Victoria looks nice and comfortable. What great exercise she shares with her Countryman.
ReplyDeleteAgree, she Looks nice and comfortable. To me much more comfortable and autonom than the Duchess of Cambridge.
DeleteOkay so what are we bringing Kate into this ? She always struck me more as the gardening, plants, soil and outdoors type, maybe not the hiking one.
DeleteWhat? Strange comment, Anonymous at 11.47PM.
DeleteBeg your pardon,in expectation that somebody would say, that CP Victoria can not wear skinny jeans because she has not the legs to do so like for example the Duchess of Cambridge. The Duchess was more or less randomly selected, she is the one who wores skinny jeans very often, didnt she? I took the effort of for this comparison, for some kind of fair play.
DeleteThose jeans are too tight. Not only do they look unflattering, they are likely also uncomfortable for outdoor activities, restricting movement and possibly even inhibiting circulation. I know that many skinny jeans are somewhat stretchy, but these ones are of the sort that make you wonder how the person got them on.
ReplyDeleteActually, they are much more comfortable than you might think. They feel like tights and don't restrict movement or inhibit circulation. Victoria has beautiful well-trained legs with real muscles, there is no need to hide them, especially when hiking. With her frame, those jeans are in fact quite flattering, I think.
DeleteI agree. She has amazing trained legs. Jeans are perfect for her.
DeleteAfter this hike she got in to a helicopter that took her to an aircraft so she could fly to attend her brother's birthday-party. Environmentally friendly????
ReplyDeleteWe have helicopters (like airplanes) for a reason. I'm thinking that Victoria doesn't usually take a helicopter, but this was a special occasion. Considering all the thousands of worldwide commercial airplane flights every day, this helicopter ride is a drop in the bucket. How many oil products do we all use every day?
DeleteWell, it was her brother's 40th birthday party, so perhaps it can be considered a bit more acceptable. In her position, a total flying ban might be difficult to fulfill, however, we as mere mortals :) can each make a personal decision to stop flying once and for all. I made it 12 years ago.
DeleteI also heard about her helicopter ride to attend the party.... Pointless cost for the tax-payers (i doubt she paid for that trip).
DeleteAs her fashion...it looks better than her dresses but the jeans are too tight. Not very good look.
He-he-he, no worries about the greenhouse gas emissions and noise pollution just as long as she can be there in time for the party. Sorry but I call it being hypocrite and I really didn't expect this kind of action from Crown Princess Victoria.
DeleteDon't even want to think how much this transportation cost to the tax-payers!
Who paid for the helicopter ride?
ReplyDeleteNoone really has to answer because noone relly knows since
transparency in royal business is NIL.
Impossible to tell what is private and what is official.
Taxpayers!
Delete@Mim: It's one of the perks of being "royal" or rich or both. It's the lifestyle they're used to; everything is at their disposal, all they have to do is "ask" (submit other suitable word of your choice). It's the way it is; we would most likely do the same.
DeleteCP Victoria represents Sweden in many ways and sometimes the dates are close together. There‘s nothing against a helikopter flight in this case. I can‘t understand this discussion.
ReplyDeleteNot sure she was representing Sweden at her brother’s birthday party. Let’s not kid ourselves
ReplyDeleteNo, but she is also a big sister and a person behind her role as a crown princess, with a very busy schedule.
DeleteI have been a hiker my entire life (let’s just say that’s more than 4 decades). I cannot understand why anyone would choose jeans for hiking(unless by hiking one means walking on mostly flat trails, which then isn’t really hiking). There are indeed pants designed specifically for hiking (and some Swedish clothing companies make some of the best ones). So why jeans - and in particular skinny jeans (they hardly flatter her figure)?
