| On May 5, 2019, King Willem-Alexander and Queen Maxima attended the Liberation Day concert held in Amsterdam as part of National Liberation Day celebrations. The concert traditionally takes place in front of Carré Royal Theatre and around Amstel River. Liberation Day (Bevrijdingsdag) is celebrated in the Netherlands on May 5, the day after Remembrance Day. It commemorates the end of the Nazi occupation during the Second World War. ReplyDeleteYes, she looks great, but I must say a skirt would look more elegant. One must be very slim (like Letizia for example) to wear such trousers. But I am no fashionista!
ReplyDeleteOne must have long legs, but there is no need to be skinny - IMO. But I am no fashion victim, if I like it, I wear it. And if not, then not. I like Maximas Style, because it is not so mainstream, but reflects her personality. I prefer Charisma over Haute Couture anytime.

ReplyDeleteI don't like the trousers (wrinkly and wide) but from the waist up she looks fantastic. Lady in Red.
ReplyDeleteShe looks great - the colour is lovely. Slight issue with the trousers - they wrinkle around the hips because they are made from this stiff shiny fabric that Natan loves.

DeleteYes, Natan loves it - there are other natural fabrics that don't wrinkle like the silk dupion or the taffeta he uses so much.

ReplyDeleteAbsolutely stunning, the top is elegant and original, being tall Maxima can get away with these oversized details. I like that she is wearing pants, and they look fantastic even with a few wrinkles. I would eliminate some of the bracelets, only one or none are needed as this outfit has enough on its own. All in all she looks fabulous.

ReplyDeleteVery pulled together. Maxima looks good, and I think she knows she does. The detail on the top is balanced by the simplicity of the pants. The pants fit her well, which she has had trouble with in the past. One small quibble--she is still having trouble with over-accessorizing.
