I usually enjoy the outfits the Queen wears, but this one was a miss, from hat to dress.

I wish she would wear her belts at the waist and not above it. It makes her look boxy and shapeless.

    1. I think that actually is her natural waistline; it's a figure type that many women find challenging -- a good stylist or designer could help Mathilde find garments that consistently even out her proportions a bit.

The accessories seem to have been chosen without reference to the dress. Hard as I squint to make these colors work, I just can't find the coordination.

  4. Waarom leert de nieuwe generatie niets van de oude, The Queen, de enige echte zullen we maar zeggen?
Zeldzaam lelijk. Ik zou die "modeexperts" links laten liggen. Wat een wansmaak. Het spijt me Majesteit!
Zoek in het Brusselse een goede, anonieme kleermaker met gevoel voor klasse.

  5. I like her and her outfit. I think a woman should wear her belt where it feels comfortable. Accessories are well chosen and add a bit of flare.

  6. I quite like the dress but the hat, apart from absolutely not matching, (neither does the clutch) is unnecessary to the outfit.

Was ist nur los? Maxima und Mathilde im Hut-Rausch. Naja, wir haben Frühjahr/Sommer-da passt das umso mehr. Ich finds schön.
    Das Kleid nicht wirklich..

The only thing I like about this dress is the colors, looks lovely on her .

All those 'eyes' on the dress, staring back at you, lol.

  10. Belts are worn at one's natural waistline. Queen Mathilde is obviously "high waisted." As much as we would all like to have perfect bodies, some (most) of us are not fashionably blessed in that regard. Having said that, I would think she would take that into account when choosing her wardrobe. She is a beautiful woman regardless of what she wears.

Not my favorite dress it seem to look at one and the hat is covering the face to much,OMO of course.

  13. Don't like this at all--the colours on the dress are dull and the pattern is strange. Anon
3:46 describes it perfectly as eyes. I quite like the hat but not with the dress. Overall, a total miss today.
