On May 17, 2019, King Willem-Alexander and Queen Maxima of The Netherlands attended celebrations of 100 years of General Election Law at the Hall of Knights (Ridderzaal) in The Hague. In 1917, all men in the Netherlands were given active voting rights, and in 1919, the women were also entitled to vote by the Dutch Parliament. The House of Representatives organizes various activities to celebrate that centenary. (Today is Queen Maxima's 48th birthday. People were singing the birthday-song for her when she arrived in the Ridderzaal. Happy birthday to you, Queen Máxima!) |
Très vilaine robe.
ReplyDeleteStrahlende Maxima...und dieser schöne Hut dazu. Vom Kleid bin ich nicht ganz so beeindruckt.
ReplyDeleteThe colour is great, though, and the dress is colour-coordinated with Willem-Alexander's tie (or vice versa). :)
ReplyDeleteAnd they are the House of Orange!
DeletePerfect!
ReplyDeletethat hat is way too big for this event!!
ReplyDeleteAnd the back of her dress looks like cheap tailoring
Nice hat and great smile. Not a fan of this dress.
ReplyDeleteThis is also my opinion.
DeleteQueen Maxima's smile is always her winning accessory!
ReplyDeleteI wonder if this is the largest hat she has ever worn. If I was sitting next to her, I would be careful to mind the hat. I like the color of her dress, but what is with the gather/pucker right in the middle front? It is strange anyway, but the placement on the dress is very odd.
ReplyDeleteThe Queen should stay close to those wonderful hats, just perfect! And a very happy birthday to you! (No one on this site noticed?)
ReplyDeleteYes, it is not my style of a dress but it does not look bad on Maxima.
ReplyDeleteDon't like when man's tie is color- coordinated with the color of woman's dress.
Happy birthday Máxima!
ReplyDeletePeople were singing birthday-song for her when she arrived.
DeleteShe looks great
ReplyDeleteBeautiful ring!
ReplyDeleteGreat hat not a fan of the dress, oh yes nice large ring.
ReplyDeleteThis dress does Maxima no favors. She looks so much better in color. The skirt looks as though it was snagged, causing a pull in the fabric. I agree with winnie about the back of the dress. The dress did not hold up to the travel. One thing that I do give her credit for is her jewelry. Finally, she has not over-accessorized.
ReplyDeleteDe acuerdo con "Winnie"
ReplyDeleteA total no for me, the color of this dress is interesting, and a very stylish woman could do wonders with it, but the fabric is so so shiny, all the wrinkles , the unfortunate gathering in the front, and the busy buttons are a recipe for disaster, and then the enormous hat only make things worse.
