In the evening of the second day of their visit to South Korea, Crown Princess Mary and Crown Prince Frederik of Denmark attended a trade dinner in Seoul. The Crown Prince and Princess of Denmark are visiting South Korea to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic ties between the two countries. The Crown Princess is the patron of the Danish-South Korean Year of Culture 2019. (Crown Princess Mary wore a new floral lace dress by Zimmermann). |
This is how you do floral and lace. She doesn’t look dowdy or overdressed for the event. Prefer Mary’s styling and fit to the model’s.

DeleteAgree - really lovely.
DeleteIndeed.
DeleteThis is a great look on Mary, Can't make out the print,it seems lace flowers. Very nice.
ReplyDeleteAnother stylish ensemble! Princess Mary looks just lovely and this dress suits the occasion.

DeleteThat is the floral dress like it should look.

DeleteI´ll go against the mainstream here. To me, the overall impression of this dress is dangerously close to nightgown-territory. It´s the small floral print combined with the colour scheme. I wonder if a proper belt in a contrasting colour had made a difference, both to make it a bit more formal and to break up that uniform wall of fabric.
ReplyDeleteAlso, it´s not what I would chose for a dinner. It´s more a garden party type of dress, imo, best combined with flats or sandals, and a large sun hat.
And speaking of shoes, I don´t think those peep-toe pumps are especially flattering. At the very least, they are too small for her, toes are sticking out.
I agree about the shoes. They are awful - she is walking on tiptoe and the toes are naturally going out of the shoe. How high are these heels? What are women thinking?! This style is ridiculous IMO
DeleteI admit that I love floral dresses anyway and beautiful Mary looks always good!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! A floral dress that is pretty, young and fresh!
ReplyDeleteThat dress is so pretty!! And C.P. Mary looks great in it!! Always lady like and appropriate to the occasion and her position!! Way to go C.P. Mary!!
ReplyDeleteLove love love the dress but it looks like Mary is wearing a knee-length slip underneath, rather than one matching the length of the dress -- which seems to have become an "on trend" thing now, but imo it badly harms the look of a semi-sheer dress.
