On May 6, 2019, Charlotte Casiraghi attended The 2019 Met Gala held at Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City. The theme of this year's Met Gala is “Camp: Notes on Fashion" (which inspired the exhibition's name). The theme is inspired by Susan Sontag's 1964 essay that defines camp as "love of the unnatural: of artifice and exaggeration". (Charlotte Casiraghi wore a dress by Yves Saint Laurent.) |
Très jolie Charlotte, ici je lui trouve des airs de sa grand-mère Grace Kelly; cette robe lui va bien.
ReplyDeleteC'est surprenant comme elle ressemble a Grace, surtout dans la 5eme photo.
DeleteDon't really like the dress---it's a bit too goth like for me--- but Charlotte looks lovely here
ReplyDeleteThe old (actually the younger) Charlotte is back. When she was a young woman Charlotte's style and wardrobe were elegant, fashion-forward, very French and exquisite. Then she just slid back. She is back to the Charlotte of her younger days (of course, she is still young) at the Met Ball. Her dress (not way-out crazy like some of the other attendees), hair and makeup are exquisite. Her classic beauty is on optimum display.
ReplyDelete"Classic beauty" - true!
DeleteShe looks good although I prefer her with a bit of colour. Cant see how her look fits the "camp" theme but none of the YSL crew did especially.
ReplyDeletePourquoi montrer ses genoux qui ne sont pas beaux ?
ReplyDeleteShe looks good in anything.
ReplyDeleteShe is indeed a beautiful woman. She has inherited the beautiful of her mother, her father, her grandmother and the Grimaldi women. However, she comes across as a sad and troubled person. Her body language is indicative of this.
ReplyDeleteI do not like this dress, for me it is almost tacky. But I am old-fashioned, I know ;-)
ReplyDeleteBut having said this, Charlotte is such a beauty. Indeed, a 'classic beauty'. I always love to see her, but like Anonymous 4:28 said, she does not often smile. I know this doesn't mean she is not happy; I only wanted to say that she doesn't look happy... But on the other hand, she often has shown a more or less 'stoic' face during public occassions.
She’s beautiful, just like her mother.
ReplyDeleteShe looks very much like her mother and Aunt Stephanie in these photos. She also doesn't look super thrilled to be there. Her dress is not terrible, but not spectacular either. And I'm not sure how it fits in with the theme.
ReplyDeleteThis outfit fit's Charlotte perfect, she really looks good. Pic #7 the person on the far right actually wore this really??.
ReplyDeleteLooking forward to her wedding Dimitri Rassam and Charlotte will make a perfect couple. He is approachable and seems down to earth. A very interesting and open minded person like Prince Haakon. This little black dress is looking good on Princess Charlotte
ReplyDeletereally?
ReplyDeleteShe always looks like she'd rather be somewhere else.
ReplyDeleteFinally an event that can handle some items from her wardrobe! Charlotte is indeed a beauty.
ReplyDeleteHorrible dress, tacky. Not to mention the "dress" the lady far right wears. If it means I am oldfshioned then I am glad I am oldfashioned. Charlotte was a beauty once, not any more. Beauty comes from inside.
ReplyDeleteThen you are not the only old-fashioned :-) I wrote the same about her dress.
DeleteBut about her beauty I disagree with you; in my opinion she has always been a stunning, classic beauty. Pity that she doesn't smile happily often...
I thought I was the only one who finds this horrible - looks like a freakshow.
DeleteThe last picture is far from good taste or "fashion"! Just a desaster. 35.000,-$ per ticket plus special invitation by Anna Wintour for this event, that's what I found out... And Elisabet, I agree, that Charlotte changed a lot. A friendly and warm smile to the photographers could help a lot. Her Mother still does it brilliantly. But maybe I am old-fashioned too...
DeleteThe Met looks a bit like a freakshow.
DeleteA princess is always and ever beautiful.
DeleteWell then Rainha, join the club! You're very welcome! 😁
DeleteShe is beautiful but always seems unhappy. Shame.
ReplyDeleteSome guest's like royalty never dress the events theme. It sets them apart from others. She looks bored.I think she is sponsored to appear at events, because her horses and competing cost a fortune. The dress is a disco fever dress, great look for a night clubbing with friends but not Met gala.Looks like aunt Stephanie in the 80s when she lived in the USA.I don't think she's unhappy but I think alot that is a WOW experience for others don't impress people who live a millionaire jet set life since birth.
