On April 18, 2019, Queen Maxima attended the "Money & Behavior" conference at Tivoli Cultural Center in Utrecht. The conference was organized on the occasion of the 40th anniversary of the National Institute for Budget Information (Nibud). Nibud is a non profit organization and an independent foundation in the Netherlands that gives information and advice on financial matters of private households. The national government and the private financial sector finance nearly 25% of the projects of Nibud. (Queen Maxima wore a leaf-patterned dress by Oscar de la Renta.) |
So Maxima!💕 Blinding colour that stands out from the crowd. Does not seem like an ocassion for wearing a hat but she is happy, good for her.
ReplyDeleteI do agree that this is a blinding color and she certainly does stand out. The only part of this look that I like is her hair. It is actually styled.
DeleteMaxima manages to maintain a smile while wearing that thing on her head. :)
DeleteBeautiful dress with a very beautiful color.
ReplyDeleteEnchanting Queen Maxima!
ReplyDeleteOne small glimpse and we can say, "Oh good. It's not Natan." I do think she is over dressed, as she so often is. I wonder if she can see how much better she looks wearing de la Renta over the Natan designs. There is so much going on on the dress that she needed to keep her earrings simple, another frequent mistake Maxima makes.
ReplyDeleteThe first we saw this look, it was amazing. It just looks unfinished this time. And she is a tad overdressed.
ReplyDeleteI do like this dress, but fuchsia is so very loud, maybe a different color would be nice. Not a fan of this hat.
ReplyDeleteMaxima is our 'Over-The-Top' Queen. I like it. Wouldn't wear it myself, but she can put it off.
ReplyDeleteI think she is overdressed, too.
ReplyDeleteLa 4ème photo est magnifique !
ReplyDeleteLove the dress-----I adore fuschia, though not as much as red--- especially with the black accents. I also like the hat. Queen Maxima looks fantastic
ReplyDeleteI agree
DeleteI love this dress so much. However I don't think the hat goes with it. But otherwise she's always amazing!
ReplyDeleteShe looks so much more comfortable in a dress that FITS and isn't of stiff upholstery-looking fabric. She is proving that it is possible to be the center of attention, be stunning and have neat hair. I think the long jet-black earrings and plain black shoes accent the sequinned embroidery very nicely.
ReplyDeleteYay - no Natan upholstery! However this is not a gala (I hope... the Queen's very public involvement with these controversial global financial groups makes me uneasy.)
ReplyDeleteBonito vestido, pero sin el sombrero.
ReplyDeleteEn Holanda debe hacer más calor que en España para ir sin abrigo.
Yes, I saw on the TV that we are having warmer weather in Northern Europe than in Southern Europe at the moment. It was 20C the other day in the north of England.
DeleteLovely outfit minus the hat which I don't like and also don't think is needed. The earrings, purse and shoes picking up on the black embroidery were enough. Love the fuchsia - she loves bright colours, good for her.
ReplyDeleteOtherwise, the dress is gorgous and I think the hat match very well with...and of course, the best is her smile and attitude.
ReplyDeleteThe hat looks ridiculous. But then, she's Maxima.
ReplyDeleteAwful, awful hat. But the dress is very becoming on her. The lines of the dress are slimming and the color matches her personality to a T. Love Maxima
