On April 2, 2019, Danish Prince Joachim and Princess Marie presented Wegner Prize 2019 with a ceremony held at Tønder City Hall. Tønder Municipality and the Art Museum in Tønder award a prize every year in the name of Danish designer Hans J. Wegner. The prize amounting to DKK 25,000 has been awarded since 2015. The prize is awarded to a designer or an organization who has contributed to the development of Scandinavian design or to the knowledge of Wegner's work. (The Princess wore a new Glenda floral wrap dress by Goat Fashion.) |
Joachim needs to put on some weight, he looks gaunt.
ReplyDeleteVery nice spring dress, but a little long?. Her smile is always nice. Not a fan of the jacket a bit boxy.
ReplyDeleteI love Princess Marie's frock. She looks good with it.
ReplyDeleteMarie is so charming!
ReplyDeleteMarie looks beautiful in a very romantic kind of way. Joachim looks rather exhausted.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful Marie !
ReplyDeleteI really like her dress but personnes usual there is always something missing with Marie. The jacket os ill fitted and ruins her look.
ReplyDeleteMARIE
Ah, a fresh breath of Spring in the dress's pattern! She looks very pretty in the dress which fits well and is a good length. Perhaps the jacket was just added for a little warmth? The prince's suit is a nice color, a good switch from black and/or blue, and the pant legs look much better than the ones his brother wears that are so tight from the knee on down. I like the tie coordinating with her dress colors, but his shoes - dear me!
ReplyDeletePretty dress, nice healthy looking hair, not a fan of the jacket.
ReplyDeleteI like the dress and though it's on the long side, it doesn't look frumpy. The jacket is fine if unexciting. As usual her smile is the best thing about her appearance.
ReplyDeleteAlso a prize to Princess Marie for her choice of this outfit, she looks amazing!
ReplyDeleteEverything fits her, including the trendy length, IMO.
mooi fris jurkje en een mooie prinses
ReplyDeleteit's too funny... I was just looking at this Goat dress today for an upcoming wedding (decided it was too white and the print too big/colourful for my rather short figure). It looks good on Marie, although she is also rather petite and so I think a smaller size or some adjustments (in particular the width of the top, the hemline would be alright if the top would fit better) could have helped make it even better. I think Goat dresses / outfits work well mostly on tall women (take Catherine for example). Anyway, Marie is so slender that the dress certainly looks good enough.
ReplyDeleteThe jacket though... now that's another story. it can either be boxy or it can be long. But certainly not both. For a boxy cut, it should end above her hip (at its longest) or, should she prefer a longer cut, then it must be tailored to show her slim waist. Being petite as she is, a short jacket is always better - and even a straight cut with strong shoulders can be flattering. Unless it's already 20+C in Denmark, I wouldn't have chosen a white blazer either (too much white in the outfit overall for this time of the year). A lilac fitted, short blazer would have worked wonderfully in my opinion. And it could have coordinated even better with Joachim's tie, which I quite like in fact (I am considering buying my husband a lilac tie... except I need to pick a dress first).
