On the evening of April 10, Prince Carl Philip and Princess Sofia of Sweden attended a gala dinner marking the Sweden-America Foundation's 100th anniversary at Grand Hotel in Stockholm. The objective of the non profit Foundation is to work for the strenthening of the relationship between Sweden, on the one hand, and the United States and Canada, on the other. Princess Sofia wore a Ruched polka dot maxi dress by & Other Stories and an Antonia coat by Ida Sjöstedt. (The Duchess of Cambridge wore the same coat during her visit to Sweden.) |
Not a good coat with a long dress
ReplyDeleteSofia has a new hairstyle, I like it. She lLooks fresh and pretty.
ReplyDeleteMaybe I am not a good observer but the hairstyle is not really a new one, the difference with previous ones is not so obvious. The colour a bit softer?
DeleteI may be wrong, MaryT, but I thought she has a new cut (more layered) and some highlights.
DeleteJe suis d’accord,il y a un effet de frange et un dégradé.
Deleteyes I agree more layered and some higlights after detailed observation
DeleteI was delighted when I saw the first picture, but then upon seeing her whole outfit I was disappointed. The polka dots are so nice, the yellow bag a fun choice and successful addition of colour, but the skirt is really letting this outfit down.
ReplyDeleteEither make it knee length (because with a busy pattern, long dress often make for a visual overload and cause the wearer to kind of disappear in all that fabric), or make it floor length (covering the shoes properly) but then break up that wall of polka dots with a belt and/or other accessories.
She looks lovely. This style is in. And while it isn't my favorite, she looks fine in it. It is a bit long.
ReplyDeleteI love this!!! Her hair looks fantastic. She is very photogenic. Nice dress.
ReplyDeleteToo many dots on a long dress with an odd length.
ReplyDeleteSofia is my favorite royal lady, and I usually like almost everything she wears. But this look was a huge miss.
ReplyDeleteHer hair is looks over processed and has split ends. Her makeup isn't quite right. And for once I think she looks older than her age.
I believe Sofia has a new stylist who's trying to dress her trendier and more age appropriate rather than her usual cookie cutter princess style. But I dont think she's quite found her way yet. Hopefully she keeps trying and find a style that works for her.
Beautiful new haircut and highlights!
ReplyDeleteLike her hairstyle today very differnt more sophisticated. But it does not go with the polca dot and it looks as the dress is not fitting as good as on the model the same with the coat or is this just me?
ReplyDeleteHighlights tend to make your hair look sun-damaged and worn, as is the case here. I much preferred her earlier darker hair colour and fringe-less coiffure.
ReplyDeletethe hair of Karl Philip isn't that good... it gives the impression of lack of care.
ReplyDeleteSorry but I don't like Princess Sofias New haircut and hair style. It is looking very messie and she looks older than she is. Her dark hair without fringe was so fine and soft for her face.
ReplyDeleteLovely dress a spark of color with the yellow clutch. Do like the coat as well. New hairstyle nice enough.
ReplyDeleteThis is a black tie event and this is the best she can do? Simple gown, frumpy, outdoor coat, and a hair style that makes you think she didn't even wash it. That's not style.
ReplyDeleteLove this look!! Very nice. She looks good.
ReplyDeleteA think the coat is OK. The dress looks bad. She looks dangersly thin on top. You can see the clavicle bones coming out. This dress cut is great for buary women. It gives a glimps of the bust without showing too much. Sofia doesnt dress for Her body type.
ReplyDeleteThe coat I think its nice as well as the pattern and lengh of the dress.
