| On Monday, Kensington Palace officials have released three new official photographs of Prince Louis in honor of his first birthday. The photographs were taken earlier this month by The Duchess of Cambridge at their home in Norfolk. Prince Louis Arthur Charles was born on St George's Day last year, April 23, at St Mary's Hospital in Paddington. Prince Louis is the third child and second son of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge. He is fifth in the line of succession to the British throne. |
We never saw George in long pants when he was one year old, or 2, or 3...... Louis is a lot like Catherine as a child, and like George in the pix with the blue sweater.
ReplyDeleteThat is because Prince George's birthday is in July when it's warm so he is wearing shorts in his pictures as they were taking during the summer. George also wears long trousers when he is dressed casually if you see paparazzi pictures.
ReplyDeleteApril in the UK is cold. The Duchess of Cambridge took these at the beginning of the Easter holidays a few weeks ago when it was very cold over here so no wonder baby Prince Louis is in trousers.
George wore shorts even during when it was cold. He would have those knee high socks on with them.
DeleteOnly during formal outings and events. I think a lot of people seem to confuse the way they are dressed up for formal events and think he wears those clothes all the time. When the children are at photographed events they are in their Sunday best but in day to day paparazzi pics George is seen in trousers and jeans.

I love how natural the pictures of the Cambridge children are. In a world where celebrities often share pictures of their kids in horrendously expensive clothes, it’s nice to see pictures of happy children outdoors. Louis is a darling with all the mud on him.

If I were nitpicking, I would say I am not fond of the hairstyle - with all that gel to make the hair look straight and flattened like a man in his 50s, I think it doesn't look good at all for a toddler... Actually, the more I look at it, the more I dislike it, it is a complete disconnect with the rest of his casual attire and his bubbly personality. I doubt this has anything to do with "protocol" for royal babies, I guess it is more Kate's own preference.
