Letizia looks wonderful today. I like this ensemble and the color. It look as her hair is a bit darker?
ReplyDeleteThe hight of elegance and style.
ReplyDeleteagree!!
DeleteMy favourite outfit of hers. She looks fantastic, I think.
ReplyDeleteLove this super elegant outfit. It has a real 60s/Jackie O vibe about it. Love the shoes as well. Letizia looks fantastic (though still think she suited her hair lighter!)
ReplyDeleteWhat spectacular event!
ReplyDeleteThe Queen is beautiful, the King is the most handsome man alive; they are gracious and loving of their country and their people.
God bless them and God bless Spain!
La reina muy bien con ese conjunto, quizás unos centÃmetros más largo y serÃa perfecto. Muy bonito su maquillaje. El rey muy guapo y todo un caballero.
ReplyDeleteThey both look fantastic together. And Letti looks great!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful King and Queen. Impeccable as usual. Loving how the purple in Letizia’s out plays off the purple in the courtier’s and guild members ensembles.
ReplyDeleteEasily one of the best outfits in the Queen's closet. Shows the importance of purchasing timeless pieces that will not go out of style. She looks great every time this outfit is worn. Blessings to this 95 year old writer. What an achievement! Some of her work is in english if anyone is interested.
ReplyDeleteAnonymous, do you think the english translation of Mrs. Vitales books are easy enough to read for non-native english speakers?
DeleteWas unfamiliar with her work, but books.google.com (type Ida Vitale in english) gives a sample of a translated book. page in spanish next to page in english.
DeleteThank you!
DeleteI find it a bit odd that with all the men so elegant in tail coats, the queen and the honoree elegant as well, there are 2 women wearing slacks, one of them very ill-fitting. That doesn't seem appropriate to the occasion IMO.
ReplyDeleteOnly the K & Q and the officials at that event were formally dressed. The people in the audience wore suits and other semi-formal wear. The Vice President's pant suit is appropriate for the occasion. It's not a fashion show. Their presence is more important than the taste for perfection.
DeleteEverything about this outfit is top notch. Class elegance at its finest.
ReplyDeleteFabulous- love the purple trim.
ReplyDeleteVery classy and elegant look from Queen letizia. Her hair look shiny and beautiful.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful outfit n gents in their tuxes. Touching photos with the older lady; luv to see the respect for all!
ReplyDeleteThis CH has always been one of my favorite outfits, good design can last for years. I like the playful touch with the punk-ish shoes. Simply superb..
ReplyDeleteWow, King P looks elegant. Love his stick. The Queen looks rather good too. Lol
