On April 26, Crown Prince Haakon and Crown Princess Mette-Marit of Norway attended the opening of The German-Norwegian Literature Festival at Oslo Literature House. The theme of the festival is "On the Road to Frankfurt". The festival brings together German and Norwegian authors at Oslo Literature House. The main purpose of the festival is to introduce German-language literature, culture and language to Norwegian people. The festival will improve the mutual literary, cultural and societal relations between Norway and the three German-speaking countries. Nice to see CP Mette Marit with her amazing smile. Unfortunetly her blouse is not a good choice, dosn't fit well at waist and hips, sorry.
ReplyDeletefully agree, unfortunately!
DeleteShe looks lovely. Nice to see her smile, she seems to be very relaxed.
ReplyDeleteGood to see her back in duty , hope she is healthy and very well. About her out fit a big no . I don't like both top and pants .
ReplyDeleteMM isn't that healthy as she want us to believe. She have even shortened down her literature train this year to taking the metro in Oslo for 2 days. And because of her health situation hired in someone else to take care of the interview part of the events since she don't have the health to do it herself. She is also taking Haakon with her, but she look good here.
DeleteGreat slacks but awful fitting top.
ReplyDeleteShe stands out like a lovely flower in that sea of blue and black suits. Anyone know what her natural hair color is?
ReplyDeleteShe is and has always been blonde
DeleteHer hair is light Brown, not at all that blond.

DeleteMM is born a blond everyone knows that. Just look at her childhood photos.
DeleteScandinavians are usually blond as children, but the hair gets darker and darker when you get older. That happened to Me and that had defenetly happened to MM
DeleteThe pants are beautiful; they fit Mette-Marit perfectly and are exactly the right length.
ReplyDeleteThe idea of the top is a fun one, but putting her photo next to the model's you can see how the fit is intended. She has the same problem as Duchess Catherine had: finding clothes that should be longer in the torso and wider in the shoulder. There is no room for that wide belt and the flare of the peplum should be more over her hips. Goodness! A competent dressmaker can adjust patterns. Find one. Designers also sell patterns, so clothes can be made to your measurements. - I see the scruffy prince is still wearing those brown shoes. At least they look happy.
ReplyDeleteI adore the length and cut of her trousers, so elegant and so chic. I also like the colour combination of white and magenta, very fresh and spring-appropriate. The top itself though is ill-fitting; the waistline is to high and the whole thing to short for her torso. I also dislike the gap in the peplum drawing attention to the fly of her trousers. I think the peplum design makes more sense with the matching belt.
ReplyDeleteMette-Marit´s hair looks wonderful. I like this softness better than when it is super straightened.
Haakon´s trousers and shoes look scruffy.
The colour of the outfit is good;the trouser zip area is poorly shaped, the jacket flare and cut of the front seems to be lacking material. CP Mette Marit is lovely; always so pretty and fresh,a popular royal.
ReplyDeleteThis is a common complaint with front fly zippers on women. They don’t lie flat and they increase the size of the tummy area. When you can find pants with side zippers, buy them. You immediately look thinner and have a better, flatter fit. I do not understand why designers do not use them more often.
ReplyDeleteM M does look very lovely and the bright color compliments her complexion.
Mette-Marit's trousers are very nice. The length and width are very flattering, but I see a problem with the fit at the zipper and the rear needed some minor alterations. Her top does not fit her. It is too tight in the shoulders, and pulling open at the waist. It does look like she could use a better bra. I agree with KH. This should have been recut to fit her body. If she had purchased one, or even two, sizes up, it would have made a big difference. She should always fit the largest part of her body and have the garment tailored down from there.
ReplyDeleteAs for Haakon's shoes, they really need to stay out of the public eye. I can't understand why a senior royal would continue to wear them publically.
Bonita combinación de colores. Pero no debería marcar cintura. Como la Reina Matilde tienen el talle muy alto
ReplyDeleteIs that top red or fuchsia? She looks good in red but the top doesn't fit her. I agree with chardonn8r comments.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous colour on MM.
ReplyDeleteMe gusta los colores que combinó,admiro su voluntad, sonrie consiente de su enfermedad incurable...
ReplyDeleteWhat a surprise, how nice to see Mette Marit again. She looks lovely, nice combination, white always looks fresh and crisp.I am glad she looks healthy too.
ReplyDeleteI agree!
