| On March 17, Sunday, The Duke of Cambridge, Colonel of the Irish Guards, accompanied by The Duchess of Cambridge, attended the 1st Battalion Irish Guards St. Patrick’s Day Parade at Cavalry Barracks, Hounslow. The parade ended with a march-past where The Duke took the salute. Then, The Duke and Duchess met with members of the Regiment and posed for official Officers’ and Sergeants’ Mess photographs. Afterwards, The Duke and Duchess met with soldiers and their families. |

A nice coat, little different from other green ones she has, but it is not that easy to be innovative. Idem for the hat. She was quite wise in the choice of shoes she is wearing.

DeletePerfection and elegance befitting a future Queen! Perfect from hat to shoes for St. Patrick's Day. And speaking of the shoes, the thicker (block) heels on these shoes are just as elegant as the thin heels, but oh so much more comfortable and stable to walk in.

Catherine is classic and conservative but doesn't dress like the Queen - their style is quite different.

DeleteKate's coat is perfect for this occasion. I don't always like her super structured, overly ornate coats, but in this case, it fits well with the military occasion. I look forward to them attending this parade each year.

ReplyDeleteBecause she is a senior Royal -- and they don't publicly wear the same clothes over and over. Occasionally when Kate does wear an outfit twice, even with the wearings separated by lengthy periods of time and accessorized differently, the British tabloids scream "recycling".

ReplyDeleteThe brooch was made by cartier but ages before Catherine was even born... Princess Anne was wearing it a few years ago when she was the one doing the irish guards ceremony on St Patrick's day
