I think the scarf does not work well with the tweed suit. The suit and shoes are a lovely combination and don't really need the scarf as an accessory.
ReplyDeleteThe scarf actually does pick up very subtle colors in the weave of the suit. If you enlarge the picture, it's easier to see. It does not come through in the distant photos. Silvia to me is always so well put together and dignified. I admire her.
DeleteAgree. She looks lovely here and the colour suits her very much, but the scarf is just too much in combination with the tweed. I also like her hat.
Delete@Pine, I saw that as well. But still think the scarf is a little bit too much with the design/ pattern of the ensemble. But indeed, Silvia is a nice lady!
DeleteLa bufanda tiene bordeaux si lo hubiera destacado en lugar del turquesa era perfecto
ReplyDeleteQueen Sylvia looks lovely;the hat looks good, the scarf ties the whole outfit together. Oh I see she is wearing stockings;love her shoes.
ReplyDeleteI think this is a particularly pretty color on the queen, and the touch of turquoise in her scarf lifts the look of it all. It is an inspired touch.
ReplyDeleteLove the suit - the colour is lovely. The hat and shoes work beautifully with it. I don't mind the scarf - it picks up the suit colour and provides a pop of a contrasting colour.
ReplyDeleteShe looks gorgeous!! I love the suit, the hat AND the scarf!! Always so put together!! Way to go Queen Sylvia!!
ReplyDeleteQ Silvia looks good as always. Not a fan of the hat but everything else very nice.
ReplyDeleteCheck out her left wrist. Looks like a grandchild made her a bracelet ❤ oh my how many of those plastic bead bracelets I have worn from my own kids. Very sweet that she is wearing it to a function.
ReplyDeleteDear Diane, this bracelet it‘s the symbol of the WORLD CHILDHOOD FOUNDATION. :)
DeleteHmmm ok..shame on me
DeleteNo shame Diane! What you thought is totally understandable. Maxima has been more than once spotted with bracelets from her daughters. It can be a good possibility for Silvia and other royal mothers and grandmothers, either!
