Crown Princess Mary is visiting Houston and Austin in the state of Texas on March 10-13, 2019. On the second day of her visit, Crown Princess Mary of Denmark met with Houston’s mayor, Sylvester Turner, at Houston City Hall. Crown Princess Mary took part in the launch of a collaborative effort between Denmark and Houston focusing on urban development and climate adaption. The goal of the collaboration is to exchange visions, ideas and technologies to better withstand climate change. (The Crown Princess wore a floral-petal printed dress by Giambattista Valli.) |
Mary is lovely and her hair is beautiful. Otherwise, her outfits on this visit seem frumpy.
ReplyDeleteFinally, someone with a dress of a nice length, not too short, not too long. Ooh, and the dress of the little girl with the braids is beyond lovely.
ReplyDeleteTotally agree!
DeleteDressed appropriately for the occasion. Always classy!
ReplyDeleteIt's good!! This one is much better than the dress of yesterday.
ReplyDeleteThis dress is so much better!!!
ReplyDeleteLove her hair and dress. Thumbs up!
ReplyDeleteMary is absolutely my favorite royal. Her kindness and warmth just radiates. She looks like a beautiful southern belle in her lovely dress. The south shall rise again!
ReplyDeleteI really hope you used that last sentence tongue in cheek. And for that matter, I still find it borderline insensitive (to refrain from a stronger, but probably more appropriate word). Perhaps it was lost in translation (that would be a good scenario). Otherwise it doesn’t belong here.
DeletePretty dress, Valli is one of my favourite designers. Amal wears his dresses beautifully. Likewise Mary, in this case. Very appropriate for tall and slender bodies, different story in the case of ladies like me... Still beautiful.
Mary seems such a genuine person. It gives me great pleasure to read about her and see her apply herself to the challenging role she has.

The last line you referred to was borrowed from the light hearted musical "MAME" starring Lucille Ball.....
DeleteUnfortunately that isn’t the only context in which that sentence has been used. I understand it wasn’t meant that way.

Bis dato das schönste Outfit ihrer Reise. Super sieht sie hier aus.
ReplyDeleteVery lovely dress on Mary, I do like the flow of the skirt. She is a class act.
ReplyDeleteAwful dress!
ReplyDeleteLovely dress. so much more flattering than the dress yesterday. A class act indeed.
