On March 15, Friday, Queen Margrethe II of Denmark held a diplomatic reception for newly appointed ambassadors from Croatia,, Bulgaria, Russia, Chile and Malta, at Fredensborg Palace in Copenhagen. A few times in a year, a reception is held for newly appointed ambassadors and their spouses at the Fredensborg Palace. During the reception, the newly appointed ambassadors presents their credentials to the Queen. Only then can the ambassador perform work in Denmark. |
I like this dress, the deep and rich purple colour is wonderful!!
ReplyDeleteYes, it really does look gorgeous. After this I may have to think of purple as "Margrethe's color" :-)
DeleteSad to see her alone at this kind of events...and she does look lovely.
ReplyDeleteOok Margrethe II verdient het predicaat "Die letzte Königin".(Der Spiegel over The Queen)
ReplyDeleteThis very regal queen wears the purple of her station with grace and confidence. I think the repetition of the three folds is a good accent to the simple style.
ReplyDeleteThe Queen looks lovely. The flat shoes she wears due to her back problems can sometimes make outfits look frumpy, but they certainly don't do that here. purple really suits her.
ReplyDeleteThe Queen looks very elegant at this event. Sorry she must do this without her husband.
