| The Duchess of Sussex returns to New York for the first time since her wedding for a few days. The Duchess is believed to have flown from London to New York City on Friday. Early this afternoon, the Duchess made an appearance ahead of her baby shower outside The Mark Hotel in New York City. Sources confirm friends are throwing Meghan a baby shower at a private location for 15 guests on Tuesday, February 19. The Duchess is set to fly back to London tomorrow morning. She should not dampened in her choice of clothes.Of course she has to behave royally and it seems she‘s growing into her role. As for clothing she has got a better taste than many royals.

DeleteThe coat Meghan is wearing is EVERYTHING! I believe the coat and matching dress are Vintage Courrèges Haute Couture from 1965. The picture of the dress has me wanting her to rewear this again when she is able to fit into the dress as well. I love the dress and am anxious to see the entire outfit together.

I love the 50s-60s style, and to see that she is wearing what has been reported to be a vintage piece has thrilled me. I have wondered for some time if the younger royals would be able to rewear some of the Queen's vintage dresses, or perhaps Margaret's, from the 40's-60's?

Oh, my gosh, Chardonn8r, that is a brilliant idea to rewear some of Her Majesty's vintage clothes! Meghan does seem to favor the Audrey Hepburn vintage look of the 1950s. I would love to see these outfits again!

DeleteI am pretty sure that she's got a pass from her doctor/gynaecologist for flying to and fro. And be sure that she's having a quite comfy lay down on a flat bed during the flights anyway. She certainly wouldn't have to squeeze herself into economy class, so, there's little to worry for her.

Right on point! She reminds me of Jackie, too. One of the most photographed and beautiful women in the world and still wears lovely sunglasses, as a bit of a "cover" from the media I suspect. Generally when someone gives off that genuine smile, they are happy and comfortable in their own skin. Duchess Meghan can teach the Royals, as well as learn of their customs.
Deletehow wonderful that she could get away and enjoy time with old friends - and even better that she had a chance to do it quietly for a few days. The outfit is also very nice and I love that she started buying second hand, vintage clothing. We all need to do more of that and stop encouraging the consumerism philosophy.

The look on the model of "Courreges" looks great, but the Duchess' combination with those pants are not to my personal taste. (At first I thought it is Alec Baldwin's wife...) Well, have a nice party!!!
