The much-anticipated plans for the garden co-designed by the Duchess of Cambridge for the 2019 Chelsea Flower Show in London were announced by Kensington Palace. In the announcement of Kensington Palace, it is said that "The aim of "Back to Nature Garden" will be to inspire families to get outside and to reinforce the benefits of the natural world on our mental and physical wellbeing". |
The Duchess' involvement in the project was first announced in January. For the project, The Duchess worked with the Royal Horticultural Society (RHS) and also with leading landscape architects, Andrée Davies and Adam White. |
Kensington Palace stated that "The design includes many natural elements that aim to stimulate active play, promoting the benefits of laying the foundations of physical health from a young age.". |
The "woodland wilderness" garden will include a high platform tree house inspired by a bird or animal nest, a swing seat, a den and a campfire. |
Kensington Palace said it hopes the garden will help to trigger memories of time spent in nature and encourage individuals to create new experiences in the great outdoors. The RHS Chelsea Flower Show 2019 will take place on May 21-25 in the grounds of the Royal Hospital Chelsea. |
I love flowers, so I look forward to this event!
ReplyDeleteI am looking forward to this event. Hope we see a lot of the Royals there. Spring everything comes to live again.
ReplyDeleteThe Duchess learned a lot during the last years and is doing a good job for the "firm". Certainly it helps that she is a mother of 3 kids to gain more popularity now and in the future. Mrs Middleton sen. has done a good job as well.
ReplyDeleteFashionwise she nearly never fails. Lovely young woman and good Royal Ambassador.
