On January 18, 2019, Grand Duke Henri, Grand Duchess Maria Teresa and Grand Duke Jean attended a concert at Saint Michael's Church, given on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the enthronement of Grand Duchess Charlotte. Grand Duchess Charlotte, who is the mother of Grand Duke Jean, acceded to the throne on January 14, 1919 following the abdication of her sister, Marie-Adélaïde on the same day. Grand Duchess Charlotte reigned as Grand Duchess of Luxembourg until 1964. |
The Grand Duchess is smartly dressed, as usual. I like the trim on her jacket and that the colors today are in gray, not black. It is refreshingly different. If I were her I would ease up on the heavy makeup - she is beautiful and this adds nothing but distraction.
