Today, The Duchess of Sussex made her first visit to The ACU as Patron. The ACU (The Association of Commonwealth Universities) is the world's first and oldest international university network and it has more than 500 member institutions in over 50 countries. The Queen who has been the Patron of the ACU for the past 33 years passed on to The Duchess of Sussex the Royal Patronage of The ACU last month. The ACU is the only accredited organisation representing higher education across the Commonwealth. (The Duchess wore a Bespoke Black Caplet Coat by Givenchy, which she had worn before, and a new bespoke skirt from Givenchy Spring/Summer 2018 RTW collection.) |
Ridiculous hem, wish the outfit was navy and not black, hair is very good. I give this a C+.
ReplyDeleteWhy not a "day" skirt or a dress under the coat .You don't wear evening attire with woollen coat to an afternoon engagement at university .
ReplyDeleteI prefer her with a bit messy hairdo.
Meghan is looking very pretty again today. I love her hair up higher. Too bad we can't see her outfit, but the reappearance of the coat is a nice treat. Great choice in the neutral shoes. They make her legs look so long!
ReplyDeleteAgree!
DeleteShe looks happy.
Great look, best I've seen from her. This silhouette is very attractive and I love the caplet coat. The fit, as far as we can tell from these photos, is good.
ReplyDeleteAgree, great look, love it !
DeleteThis is a bit boring colour-wise, but it is the first really successful maternity outfit she´s worn.
ReplyDeleteGood maternity look. I'm not one for maternity outfits which tightly outline the bump.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great coat, love the caplets , and the single button on the collar , I wish We could see the skirt better, but what a great fashion statement, just to let a little flimsy, whimsical hem peek from under the coat, it breaks the severity of the black. I also like this high bun, it shows what a pretty bone structure she has.
ReplyDeleteThe coat is beautiful!! But the skirt's fabric and hemline seem more appropriate for evening than for daytime.
ReplyDeleteShe has a very pretty face, hair and makeup good, like the coat but not with the skirt.
ReplyDeleteShe's got a high ballet bun. It's ok, I like her messier looks better, or even down. I get chilly looking at her hair up like that know it's winter. And maybe because it's freezing where I live. Polar Vortex be gone, I am ready for spring. The look I like better than yesterdays.
ReplyDeleteAnother great updo! Meghan looks so much like Audrey Hepburn in photos 9 and 10. So elegant! She's a pleasure to see at her engagements.
ReplyDeleteLove her hair, and attire from head to toe except for the frill, better luck next time dear. And maybe chosing color other than black for these day events
ReplyDeleteAgree with all who love this look. The coat is fab. Having been disappointed with the permanent dull dark colour schemes, I'm now relieved to see black as it provides some disguise for the bump and the outfit is so much more elegant and dignified than the dresses stretched across the belly. I also like the light skirt with the coat. And the hairstyle really suits her. It's a draw between this and the red and purple for my favourite maternity outfit to date.
ReplyDeleteFor those of you living with the Polar vortex it's an almost tropical -5 degrees C in Central Scotland tonight. 🌙🌞
Who died?
ReplyDeleteShe looks very pretty and very lucky.
ReplyDeleteCoat is Givenchy one she had already at Rememrance day seremonies. Dress also from Givenchy. Shoes she has had before several times.
ReplyDeleteI enjoy reading your fashion comments. She has a beautiful facial profile, such lovely « forward growth » of the jaw and cheeks. This isn’t just genes, she holds her mouth closed properly with the tongue up on the roof of the mouth to support the face and bring everything up and forward instead of back and down. I am also amazed by her perfect posture with her head straight (chin tilted down rather than up). It’s all related. A UK orthodontist named John Mew introduced the concept of body and mouth posture and their effects on facial growth. Meghan is a perfect example of his theory. Health = beauty
ReplyDeleteI love the coat and the single button and cape detail. I love her hair like this - very flattering, clearly showing off those beautiful high cheekbones.
ReplyDeleteTres belle et rayonnante les cheveux sont bien
